As I have stated on another thread. All those on 2 year contracts should be immediately transfer listed.
Going forward any 2 year contracts should only be given to the Sam Hughes, Tom Crawfords and the Jonathon Joneses of this world.
Giving out 2 year contracts to Managers and injury prone, journeyman players, (on inflated salaries) who dont provide value for money needs to cease.
All contracts given out should be one year rolling and should include relegation and appearence clauses.
I fear giving these contracts out like confetti, will come back to haunt us big time.

Totally agree.
We seem to lurch from one approach to another, depending on the managers personal preference at the time. Change to full time. Bring in younger players. Back to part time. Loads of loanees. Then sign older players. Full time again. Two year deals. etc
We should define ourselves as a club. We should decide the approach we want to take. Then the manager knows, and works within that brief. It's called a Job Description. You've more chance of appointing someone who'll be right for our club then.
JMc made a pertinent comment at a CFU meeting when he was first appointed. When being asked about two year deals for players, he said "how could I offer a player a two year deal when I've only got a one year deal?" Real pity we didn't stick to that approach.

Especially, the point about the Job Description and defining ourselves, as a club.
