Not feeling so optimistic this week. But if MB can stay with a 442 I think we could carve out a 1-1. COYB. Like others have mentioned, why cant MB stay consistent with a system? Why change all the time. We need width and pace.

Think it will be very much pick your place in the carpark as I can't see more than 1400 there.
Going for a 1-1 draw
As I mentioned after Saturday, we're now in 1.5 points per game territory so a draw won't really help us but I'm afraid we're not strong enough in midfield and up front to really capitalise on Hartlepool's poor form

nothing at all suggest we will win this...even the optimism on here 0-2, crowd of 1200..both teams...no money,no spirit,no talent ...its just we are a little bit worse than them....

Part of the problem Is that as soon as there's any pressure or expectation on this team they crumble. We've seen that in the FAT and on Saturday in games we are expected to win. Expert the same again tomorrow and maybe a better show at Maidenhead when there's no one getting on their backs.

This season we've performed between consistently crap and inconsistent winning.
I'm going to predict a 2-1 win to The Blues.

I’m a season ticket holder and I’m paying someone to cover so I can go. I’ll never learn unless the team proves me otherwise. COYB.

I'll be there to see us slump to another defeat.
0-1 in front of 1,365

If anyone's interested, the food on offer in the Blues Bar before the match is chilli con carne and rice.

I haven't been since boxing day, but going tonight and brining a couple more with me.
We must win tonight, Hartlepool are in a group of clubs that are within touching distance if we can get three points tonight. Unfortunately Gateshead was a similar thing but we let them move away from us when they won Saturday.
Our away draw at Fylde looks really good when you look what they did to Tranmere, Macclesfield, and Wrexham twice, so need to step up at home.
Lets get behind them tonight.

2-1 to Chester with 500 missing fans...100 of which moan on DC but don't attend vitally important CFU meeting on Thursday ! And then moan again on DC on Friday 😃 Correct me if I’m wrong please, but you don’t at all seem concerned about 500 missing fans. It seems the more important issue is you having a go at those who rightly have concerns and use this forum to vent their worries. Are you simply one of those supporters who feel superior to some others?

Luke George will miss tonight's match through injury. Given how crap he performed for us, that's a real shame.

Just read the Chronicle's match preview which reports that Hartlepool's last win in Chester was 47 years ago. Almost half a century! We are unbeaten in 16 home league meetings since.
Surely I can't be the only one to think they'll put that right tonight?

I wouldn't give Akintunde another minute in a Chester shirt. Can't understand how he escapes criticism so often. He offers nothing. He's frightened to death when trying to beat a man, has no physicality, no height and doesn't score goals. Even Craig Hobson was a far superior striker. Well spotted that man. To be honest he should have been released in the summer. Watch the goals at Guiseley and Ebbsfleet. Akintunde played a massive role in both. I think he's one of our best players, myself.

Not usually one to be optimistic when it comes to Chester FC, but for some strange reason I’m quietly confident tonight for some reason 🤔
It’s really windy across the border, but what’s it like in Chester?

The businessman hoping to rescue Hartlepool has pulled out after he saw the state of their finances.

I’m with Lobster on this one he’s nowhere near the finished product but he works hard and is just missing a regulat partner up front instead of the constant chopping and changing which we have had all season due to injury issues.

The businessman hoping to rescue Hartlepool has pulled out after he saw the state of their finances. Yes, the takeover for Hartlepool looks to be off, according to the Chronicle. Anyone know when their deadline was?
