I'm trying to make myself feel better about the prospect of relegation.
Does anyone know the difference in money we get from the League/FA/Whoever between being a National League Team or a Conference North Team?
Nobody likes relegation but if the difference in funding is minimal it may be a blessing in disguise.

We get nothing only what we generate ourselves.

We get nothing only what we generate ourselves. Pretty sure that’s not the case, at the very least there’s prize money at staggered amounts depending on where you finish in the league.

I've a feeling that the last accounts showed something like £50,000 received from prize money. I would think it's diddly squat in Conference North. On the plus side, we'll enter the FA Cup/Trophy at an earlier stage and might actualy win a game or two. i read somewhere that the FA Cup prize fund is doubling next year.

I would doubt there is much difference in income between us now or when in conference north, both are/were sponsored (vanarama currently), although there is a small boost if you get shown on BT TV on the national league. I'm sure I heard a figure a few years ago that the differences in grant/sponsorship/TV income between the national conference and League 2 was around ten times - c.60k to £600k (although this may have altered), which would indicate to me that it would be viable to have a moderate f/t squad that was sustainable in L2, but not in the conference, which may be relevant of course to our current financial situation.
