Despite all the shocks and romance of this season's FA Cup, the last 4 looks like being Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and either Chelsea or Man Utd.

I tend to agree with you However, I'd love to have the bank balance of Lincoln/Sutton after this run This year shows that lower league clubs now have their best opportunity in years to progress and milk the financial rewards

I tend to agree with you However, I'd love to have the bank balance of Lincoln/Sutton after this runThis year shows that lower league clubs now have their best opportunity in years to progress and milk the financial rewards Up until last year Lincoln were carrying an historic debt just short of three million, but that was before the arrival of Sportvest, who have invested into the clubs parent company so that figure has probably been reduced by around a third at least. By contrast Sutton seem to have kept their finances pretty much in order, thanks in part to Doswell's decision to manage the club. He's an interesting character, rich guy who makes his money as a property developer but loves football. He was doing the same at Eastleigh a decade ago before he moved to Sutton. He comes across as probably genuine, albeit a bit gobby at times. Doesn't take a wage, sponsors the club and gave them a £500,000 interest free loan to pay for their plastic pitch and hasn't to date asked for the repayments to start. Listening to Dorrian, Lincoln will be using the cash to improve training facilities and boost next seasons playing budget. Out of the two bank balances, at this point in time I think I'd prefer Sutton's.

Given a 60,000 crowd and Arsenal's prices, I would imagine it's a fair few bob

Win-Win for them Away to Sutton or Arsenal in the QFs Oh, how I wish it was us ! Never will be. We are too tied into a 'fan ownership model'. We will never get out of this league unless we look at outside investment. Of course we won't get an outside investor because we don't have anything to invest in! Rented ground right up the top of an industrial estate, way off the bus route. Low crowds, and a real lack of interest from the majority of the populice of the city

Even 3rd or 4th round would do for me!

It's scary to think how much money Lincoln will make from this run.

Does the 3 million refer to director debt?

Heard Lincoln's chairman (I think) on 5Live today. They estimate they will make £1.5m from the FA Cup run. He sounded very grounded about what they will spend it on as has been mentioned in this thread except he also said they don't plan to spend all of it as they know the good times don't last forever and will put some by for a rainy day. Sounded familiar.?? Thought he came over very well and genuine. I have never ever liked another team in 'our league' but must say I wish Lincoln well both in Leagues and Cup. They are doing the National League proud.

And they ARE a non-league club.

And to think we finished above them 2 seasons ago.

And to think we done the double over them 2 seasons ago, including a 4-0 win at home.
