Absolutely bonkers. Bringing in Allen to pick up the mess that Moore left and giving him a couple of months before deciding he's not up to it either. Surely he needed a full pre-season to stamp his authority. A lot has been said about our recent slump but I'm glad the board have patience rather than the hire and fire approach of the likes of Southport and Eastleigh.

Talk about trigger happy!
This owner's not related to the mad Italian at Leeds or the Venky's by any chance
Small club, big investment, twitchy owner wants instant returns - please don't let us get anywhere near this model regardless of how we do or do not progress

seems most of there fans are glad to see the back of him He has always come across as a confrontational type but he's got a good track record at this level, so to want to see the back of him doesn't seem right to me. He is a proven, got Barnet out of the league probably on a lower budget....surely you give a guy like that some time to do what he does?

Mirrored by some of the comments on here after our own poor run of form. Eastleigh is a classic example of the sum of the parts don't make a team. You can imagine the dressing room pre match as the players introduce themselves to each other and discuss who is manager this week and what the tactics might be. The result is one win in the last ten. Continuity has some benefits. If they continue that form they could be in danger.

Any manager who feels the need to sack three managers in a season should seriously consider his own position, as he's clearly either incapable of appointing a suitable candidate, or doesn't have the framework in place to match his ambitions and expectations.
It's hard to understand how some of these football chairmen made their fortune when they display no business or finance brain at all.

Just mad. It says it all that they're 15th, going backwards, not forwards.

They have spent more money than any other club in this division - even Forest Gump. I can only imagine how much Martin Allen was offered to leave Barnet and take over at Eastleigh, so I'm sure his compensation package is pretty hefty as well. They embody everything that is wrong about football at our level. Small time club, where money is no object, who think they have a divine right to win the league. You only have to look at Forest Green to see that this doesn't work. Maybe the return of Richard Hill is what they require. They have never replaced him since he left and he's the only one who has ever shown he can succeed under their model/expectations. However, I wouldn't be sad to see it go even further pear-shaped. Maybe one day someone will actually get a grip and introduce some Financial Fair Play at this level. That will be the only way to stop these kind of chancers and save the reputation of some of these clubs, who were once highly regarded.
