It was great last night and to see so many faces I’d not seen at the Deva before, all the seats where I sit were folk I’d never seen.
The supporters are fantastic but surely now is the time to “kick on”, with the massive groundswell and change the manager. We have no game this weekend so time for a new manager to work with the players and I think we could afford this! The fans have shown they will stump up when we are in dire straits, let’s be creative and look at a package to fund a new manager! We have to pay Bignot anyway, a new manager could bring back the p/t fans and pay for himself.
Alternately i I think the shortfall will increase because there were only 1400 at last home game (only 300 more than last night!) and the bubble will burst (I’ve avoided which prick it’ll take to burst it!) when we need 2100 to break even.
We have new impetus, new leadership, new momentum, please can we have a new manager!

We need to re-group in Conference North, go after someone like Parkinson and see what we can do next season with a much reduced budget. I think the priority is to rebuild the rainy day money, ring fence it (not allow it to be used without the CFU members voting on it), have a policy of recruiting young ambitious players and see where we can build other streams of income.

We need 2,500 on average over the remaining games to stay afloat AND start to claw back some of that deficit in the budget (confirmed by Lawrence at last week's meeting). So unless Bignot walks away he'll be with us for the remainder of the campaign

I'm concerned that people think £50,000 is to secure our long term future when it's actually only set to last two months.

I'm beginning to wonder if the OP is fully aware of the situation.
Sir Alex would struggle with this shower of shite
We don't have any money and the money we do raise is paying creditors and being put in the bank for a rainy day
Got it?

Sir Alex would struggle with this shower of shite We don't have any money and the money we do raise is paying creditors and being put in the bank for a rainy day Got it? Unfortunately I think the OP is not on their own within our fanbase. We need more than 50k to just survive past the end of March. We are probably looking at least double that AND ensuring that we average as close to 2,500 for the remainder of the campaign. People unfortunately for one reason or another just see 50k and think that's all we need. They don't understand or have any will to sit there and read about the real problems with our finances. Saw it in the meeting last week when one fan, after we'd had the terrible news about the money then proceeded to ask the finance director why Craig Mahon wasn't on the team. And then kept shouting about it every 5minutes. Some people are just on a different planet

As per the meeting last week, Lawrence advised that if no extra cash was to come in then the worst case scenario we would run out of money end of Feb. That's when we hadn't done any fundraising, so 35k will go some way to getting us to March. Like others say, we need to keep this up as soon as we hit that 50k mark. We cannot afford to take the foot off the pedal.
