With no reported movement of the big earners at the club does anyone else think like I do that they are going to sit right tight at the club and gleefully accept the monies collected by the supporters for their wages. If they haven't gone by now looks like they could be here for the remainder of their contracts coining it in for doing nothing. Thinking about it most of us would do the same. Some people have a lot to answer.

Are you referring to those who pretend to be footballers or someone who pretends to be a CEO?

Mainly the football players nothing else can be done with some one made redundant its out of the clubs hands. I fear the only way the big earners can leave now is by mutual agreement on cancellation of contracts or loan moves. However are they going to move for a poorer contract resulting in them having to play for their wages. Can't see it but hopefully I'm proved wrong.

In a way, you can hardly blame them. You can criticise their performances, but they need to earn a living like the rest of us and if someone has been stupid enough to give them a two-year contract, it's not really their problem.

Totally agree, I know I wouldn't walk out of my job with a child and mortgage to pay for, so why would they? They've been offered the contracts by our club at the end of the day, you're blaming the wrong people for the financial state here Kenny.

Probably, have to prise them out of the club or out of the treatment room, where they spend most of their time.

Hope this gets sorted, them staying put doesn't go in their favour as such. If we run out of money then they don't get paid at all! Lesson to be learnt and hope in the future the manager is told no two year contracts or 30 plus games extensions to be offered to any player

Low basic and the biggest win bonuses in the league is the way to go. Contract extensions based on points won.

One year contracts with one year extentions. 2 year contracts for academy graduates and young players with sell on value only.

One year contracts with one year extentions. 2 year contracts for academy graduates and young players with sell on value only. Agree with this.
Plus, instead of extensions triggered by appearances. Have them triggered by goals for strikers or clean sheets for defenders. I know that may cause issues in itself if people aren't being played etc. But surely for players who are being signed with a view to being a starter (Hannah/McCombe/James etc this year) it would offer more of an incentive to perform.
I'd happily extend all our strikers and defenders contracts if they scored 15 each and kept 20 clean sheets!

If 2 year contracts were triggered by 30 apperances Hanbah and Turnbull would struggle to make it. In any other profession if you spent a third of the time on the sick and chronically underperformed wwhen you did show up and you were a top earner. Y ou would be out on your ear.
