Please remember that although he is not the Messiah we had hoped for he is a human being.

If he is then his replacement will be welcomed by the majority of supporters.

I wouldn't put any money on him being in place by next season, From twitter -
Simon Olorenshaw
My understanding is Bignot knew, and committed to releasing players to bring in new at the time of his interview. Also, do not like the way he refers to the Board as "them" obviously not the right man for our club.

Not the only current board member by my recollection either. Not a criticism by the way, merely an observation. Whatever will be, I just think many harshly criticise the bloke for his transfer dealings considering just how much his hands are tied. I don’t know what he’s like in training etc etc.

I also don't think it's as simple as "release players". Some of the players are on contracts nobody else would have offered them. We tried to palm Liam Davies off to Leek Town and even they hardly played him and sent him back. Players can only be cleared off the wage bill if somebody else will have them and the player can agree a deal.

Agreed about the difficulty in getting players out however the point that keeps getting missed is if he couldn't get rid of them he shouldn't have been bringing anymore in. Instead he should have worked with and improved what we had, as he said he would and was committed to doing in his interview.

I think Bignot gets a really rough time tbh.
I’m not certain he was the right man to bring in as he’s more of a builder, I actually think give him a 250k budget and he’d build a team of young battlers which is what you want to see.
I’m not confident he was the man to come in and motivate a bunch of charlatans, but then, I’m not sure anyone could other than an older head like Barrow or Harvey like he did at Halifax.
The 15 signings of shite boils my piss though, done to death and proven to be bullshit but it keeps cropping up, even from a director. It took LK to stand up and point out these lads care in for next to nothing, or in fact actually nothing in case of Shep and the 2 goalkeepers who are added to this mythical 15 despite just filling a bench when we had injuries. The long term signings he could make, Hornby, Gough, RHJ and archer are all cheap and arguably added to the 2 young lads he’s brought through and Roberts on £100 he’s done wonders with no money. The only failure being a punt on Udoh as far as I can see. Although Anderson got injured he still improved what we had.
Make no mistake, the reason we are in the shit is the big 5 of Halls, McCombe, James, Turnbull and Hannah.
Yet still Bignot will get slated, despite the fact that next seaso. Having to build an entirely new team he’s quite possibly our best candidate. He just wasn’t the man to motivate these absolute dogs.
