Andy Preece has brought Louis Almond back on loan to the Merseyrail Community Stadium today.
The ex Blackpool and Hyde United forward will give the Port a big boost in the Vanarama National League run in. Almond was transferred to Tranmere in September but a near immediate change in management has seriously limited his chances at Prenton Park.
Almond said: “I'm delighted to be back at Southport and looking forward to be competing for a starting place. I want to play and it was great to be joining in this morning in the gym with the lads. Everything happened very quickly this morning.”
Southport are currently 22nd in the National League, three points from safety

Always liked the look of him when he's played against us. Perhaps one to keep an eye on in the summer if Southport go down.

Wouldn't have thought he's been at a full time club looking at his body shape.
