£ 5.00 return on the train, it would be rude not to go. Remember that all chester trains will terminate in Birkenhead and buses will go to Liverpool. It will add 20 minutes to your journey. From Ellesmere Port you will need to change at Hooton. I will be getting the X8 from Ellesmere.Port to Liverpool and the train from there My itinerary X8 11.44 train to Southport 12.55 Bus 44 to Haigh Ave 13.52 Arrive ground just after 14.05 |

Merseyrail is a great service so I guess he's moaning about the disruption caused by the line works or the number of stops between here and Southport. |
