Nice offer but £500 for two hours that's £22 pp approx To be honest that's not bad to play on the hallowed turf - what can you get for 20 quid today? An hour with a lady of the night in Wrexham Central or 10 minutes at a soho peep show -

I would expect them to pay you.

I'd definitely be up for playing a game on the hallowed turf. I could get a few mates together who could play but i wouldn't get enough for a full 22. Is anybody in the same position who would be up for getting together to pay to play a match?

I could probably get a couple of lads together although we're all around 40 years old and haven't played any football for about 15 years. I'd love to do this though! Maybe try and sort a New V Old Devachat match?

I'm in the same boat, I have around 8 or 9 lads that would play but need at least 22 to make it worthwhile.

I am guessing we are having to do work to the pitch because it hasnt been properly cared for recently . How much is this costing ? why wasnt the pitch properly cared for over the last 2 seasons .

It was in questionable condition at the start of the season , ive never seen it look so poor since it was first laid in 1992

The pitch looks fine now.

Sorry Rio, your idea of fine and mine are different. Against Gateshead the pitch looked poor from a west stand perspective.

/photo/2 Great that the club let Lache primary come today, but I'm afraid I'm not confessing the positives right now. Our pitch has been great shape over the past few seasons, but it looked quite shocking on this photo. I apologise if I'm being petty on a small matter, but we haven't had a home game for nearly 3 weeks and it hasn't changed from last time out. I might have to inspect it a bit more Friday 😄 But it is something to be concerned about as I'm quite proud of our pitch compared to others.

You appear to be arguing with yourself Riot.
The pitch has been shocking (by our standards) all season IMO. These "closed door" friendlies can't be helping the situation and I'm sure the groundsman isn't particularly happy about today's match ahead of a big game in front of the cameras on Friday.

Well if we stopped having pointless friendlies for the last 3 weeks at home then that would maybe give our groundsman more time to get it right!
What a stupid idea playing on the pitch after the bad weather and then having big game on Friday!
We had a friendly the Tuesday before Gateshead and then had covers down Friday so hardly gives him time to put it right!
