It's always the little person who loses out isn't. I remember when Portsmouth had a financial meltdown (self inflicted I might add) it the local florist who lost out and the local primary school who had provided parking. Not the twats who earned £50000k a week.
We must owe some people a lot of money you know. What I find particularly disgraceful is that some kids I know who have been signed up by the club for the under 13 side forked out £140 for kit earlier this season. This didn't turn up, and then still didn't turn up. They were then told they would be refunded and they could go and source their own kit. Guess what - no refund forthcoming. I also know that the money has been asked for repeatedly but is still not forthcoming.
Now I know we have financial worries etc etc but the academy side is something that we need to make a success of desperately and this sort of treatment of people isn't going to attract lads to sign up. The particular family I know even went along to the youth game the other week and chucked into the bucket to support the club but the whole thing stinks a bit. Even an honest message to say, "look we're strapped for cash and we'll sort it out in the future but for now you'll have to wait" but no they keep getting fobbed off. One of these kids even saved up his own pocket money to get his kit. No wonder we're in the shit. Now we have some new board members we need to start undoing what damage we can.
If any of the board or maybe Guy Lister if you're reading this want to get in touch with me via a PM I'll give you the names of those concerned and maybe this can be sorted out, or at least addressed properly. God knows we don't need to be pissing off the people of Chester at this time.

This really is disturbing and needs addressing urgently. Much is made of our community work and the need to bring young players through the academy and into the first team to support our business model amongst other things. Get it sorted!

Sounds like Mark is looking into it so I’m sure it’ll get sorted one way or another. Thanks. G
