Is it worth going to this, to anyone that may have been or knows anyone that has?
I went to the GP last year but it ended up being about £1k for a two night trip all in, Silv Classic looks cheaper for tickets, free paddock access and still a fairly big event where hotel prices aren't hiked up to a premium.
But is it worth bothering, or should i just brave the steep F1 Main event prices...
Thanks

During the summer months I attend numerous motor sport events {oulton park season ticket holder] I did the silverstone classic a couple of years ago, not cheap £40 pound entry £8 program, excellent paddock access, able to walk round the cars and talk to the team members, excellent trade village too If you like historic racing cars then yes i would recommend it as an excellent day out Would never attend a GP again cars are unbelievable but next to no overtaking and as you say the cost is horrendous Have you considered the Oulton park gold cup? first day is on august bank holiday sunday so does not clash with footy F2 and F5000 cars access to pit garages and pit lane if you can get there early enough For top class motor sport the British touring cars cant be beaten, top cars, excellent support races, and , shock horror , some overtaking too

I've never been. I'm pleased to have seen them last ever GP without halos but would be interested to see the difference that's the only issue. Classic sounds great thanks for the advice on that, will certainly consider going purely for the paddock and talk to team members.
