We might as well have a 'King Karl Live On Sky With Mickey Mouse Floodlights Day' as well then?
We appreciate that you didn't win in the League at Wrexham since 77/78 till your very lucky reform club won in (drumroll,,,,,, more drumroll) 2013...
Celebrating a draw in those days just shows ......how good we were. I'm not on a typewriter by the way... You've had an incredible record against us since then. I'm convinced you've been blessed by the Gypsies. After all, they keep coming back to your Car Park. Like a magnet,
It was a proper 'Derby game'! People on the bench kicking buckets of water over etc..
Oh Harry! Der der der der der Harry McNally! Der der der der der der Thank you for Gary! Der der der der der der

Der der der der der der If we are going down the route of taking cup games out of the equation (as you seem keen to do by ignoring our two cup wins there in 1986-87) let's not overlook the fact Wrexham failed to win a league game at Chester from 1977 to 2006. Not that dissimilar to Chester's winless run at the Racecourse and a reminder that you weren't quite so dominant in that period as you like to recall.

Could understand if we beat them but naming a day after a draw? Bit much. Because we're crap and have nothing else, 90's especially, to sing about (It's quite sad that the 93/94 promotion side rarely gets talked about).

Why do we celebrate it?
1. Its a bit of fun
2. We were shite at the time and you were a good side, it was being billed as a Valentines Day massacre beforehand as you lot thought you'd absolutely batter us. So yeah, 9 men on the pitch and getting a result. No wonder the Wrexham mob don't like being reminded of it

I used to think that Andy Milner was one of the worst players to wear a Chester shirt. I missed his 4 goals against Doncaster and wish I hadn't. He never quite got his timing right when jumping for a header, but he would walk into this team as a Chester Legend. He had a kind of elegance about him. Even the useless Cain Richards managed legendary status with a goal against goats. None of the current strikers come anywhere near. I have a 50p piece with Milner Tower on it and I will never spend it as it reminds me of that game.
Happy St Milner's Day.

A very harsh opinion there. Milner scored some fantastic headers too. I remember one thumping header at Blackpool in the FA Cup from a cross by the much maligned Jason Burnham and another against Wigan at home in the league cup. Although he wasn't consistent and sometimes a little lightweight, there is no doubt he had some class and as you rightly state, elegance. Loved playing for Chester and rightly remembered for that memorable goal against all the odds.
Happy St Milner's Day!

More used to their surroundings as well as the worn out 90's Liverpool shirts I always see in the Wrexham Village.

The way he ripped out all your hearts in the 94th min was brilliant. Some of you were nearly crying in the West Stand. Still makes me laugh to this day. "Absolute disaster here at Chester". Enjoy your derby with Halifax next season. You'll miss us and the Cup Final we give you.

The state of this club yet 'celebrating' this, it's pathetic and embarrassing IMHO.

The state of this club yet 'celebrating' this, it's pathetic and embarrassing IMHO. You are clearly not a Chester fan ! One of my favourite nights in supporting the blues, with a superb comeback against all the odds. Whilst this wasn't the greatest of Chester sides these players at least showed some character and fighting spirit. If only some of our current Journeyman dross could show some of this. It is even more important to celebrate such events in times of adversity.
