By no doubt he was a great player here, but he and his defence have certainly leaked a lot of goals this season, and shipped in five at home to Dundee today.

Heneghan has made a mistake joining Motherwell. However, when you have an Agent of the nature and volition of Heneghan's he was always going to be badly advised.
He'd have been better off going to Preston who have a good manager and coaching set up who would have taught him positional sense and improved him further. Heneghan has the tools to be a good defender but his positional sense is a weakness.

Mark McGhee sacked.
It was a good move for Ben, whatever happens there. Not a good move for Chester sadly as we got ripped off by Motherwell.

No. it was a total mess on our part.
Nonetheless Motherwell exploited a loophole which allowed them to get Ben for nothing. I don't think we would have got much anyway as he was out of contract and not a product of our youth system but better than nothing. To my knowledge I don't think they sent so much as a signed shirt.
