on 2.3.18 I became the proud owner of a parking ticket for not setting the correct time on my blue badge when parked in Chester. I didn't have my reading glasses with me and got 1600hrs mixed up with 6 pm. I may have set my clock wrong but surely the council should check the road markings before issuing tickets. The area in question had lines so badly damaged by road defects they were not visible.

The area in question had lines so badly damaged by road defects they were not visible. If the roads are damaged and lines not clear, take a photograph and send it will your letter of appeal. I imagine the fine will be dropped.

The council funds less and less but has the finance to employ an army of traffic wardens, because it a money spinner.
