It would've been ideal for Jon McCarthy to go to Prenton Park tonight as he only lives in Warrington. Can anyone remember when he drove down to Woking to scout Grimsby in April?

Quite a gap opening up at the bottom of League 2 if things stay as they are with Leyton Orient and Newport getting cut adrift.

Quite a gap opening up at the bottom of League 2 if things stay as they are with Leyton Orient and Newport getting cut adrift. Not the best teams to come down. Prefer Crewe and Notts County. Orient we have played for years, ok decent sized club and will bring a sizeable following, still more traveling for us. Newport is a dross fixture, nothing good about it.

One club lost it's benefactor a couple of seasons ago the other is, according to fans, being run into the ground by it's foreign owner the self styled club president Francesco Becchetti. I've lost count of the managers he's gone through in two and a half years, I think they are on their ninth.

Crewe got a hiding by Hartlepool, who are hovering over the drop as well. A trip to Victoria Park would be nice.

Orient look like being the latest in a long line of clubs to lose their Football League status due to the chaotic way they've been run off the field. Hard to see them staying up on current form.

They're nailed on. Only a few years ago they were competing with Tranmere to get promoted to the championship.

Starting to see a few teams scrapping for their lives. Great result for Maidstone tonight - hope they stay up. Enjoyed our trip there despite the result and the away end will be finished next season. Good point for York at Lincoln but they look doomed...bit of a gap opening up between the bottom three and the rest. Looks like Ferriby, Southport and York plus one other for the drop. Thank God for points on the board. I'm almost at the stage where I can relax.

My missus is an Orient supporter. Been a depressing season. Not a terrible side. They just can't get going.

If 4 northern teams go down will the two most southern go to the national league South? No, they look at all 44 teams who will be in the NL North/South and decide based on the location of those teams. So teams sometimes switch between the two leagues year on year if decided. Still didn't stop the stupid situation of Lowestoft being in the NL North though!

Just noticed it's Newport v Orient on Saturday, a game where both sides will surely have to go for the win if they are to stand a chance of getting out of it.
Several head-to-head relegation scraps in our league taking place on Saturday also.
