Been elected National League player of the month. Makes you wonder where we would be if he, along with Hunt and Lloyd had been retained. All 3 doing well this season and all wanted to sign for us but the useless one decided they weren't good enough and made us bankrupt Byby signing inferior players. Tosser.

During the terrible run after Christmas last season, Durrell told Mr Burns where to go with his useless tactics. He was shown the door along with Hunt. Durrell was a good player and has really kicked on this season, no doubt other Clubs will be looking at him, He won’t be at Macclesfield next season.
Noticed Macclesfield got 1,700 yesterday. I know our crowds are never good but I’m sure if we were going for the League it be bigger than that. Good luck to them but you’d think Macc will be way out of their depth in the Football League.

Aye: Durrell, Hunt and Lloyd binned.
Dawson, Chappell, Davies, Joyce and Akintunde retained.
Even offered George a contract,
What an almighty idiot McCarthy is.
Heart-breaking.

On the theme of ex players I see George Thomson scored a hat trick for Harrogate against FC of United, I always liked George but he always seemed to be the first player dropped even if he scored.

Accrington went top of League 2 yesterday, their average gate is 1,600. I don’t like Jon Coleman much but the job he’s done there is incredible.

Macclesfield are going to win the league with probably a similar budget to the one we had. It just proves it can be done without million pound budgets.

Both Durrell + Hunt were binned off due to unrest in the changing room after they both laid in to McCarthys puppets a few times
Joyce was offered a better contract then Horwood
McCarthy promised Lloyd he would do his best to get him back but then offered an extension to Liam Davies which basically shut any hope of Lloyd returning
Rumours of dressing room fights have been true been a fair few since Burr then Jon came in

Bit harsh to bracket Akintunde in with that lot I think. at least akintunde does care He's probably no more than Conf North standard. Major disappointment this season, even though he is a decent human being.

Coleman and Askey are the best lower league managers around. No surprise their respective teams are flying. If Askey wins the league he deserves manager of the year over Guardiola.
Apparently our former CEO was blaming Durrell for our woeful form last season. More evidence Maguire was absolutely clueless.

I don't recall anyone being that bothered about Lloyd - he was poor for the run in and the general feeling was that we could do better. Most of us felt Turnbull was an improvement. Easy with the benefit of hindsight..... Durrell too had his detractors - I'm guessing it was 50-50. And if I recall even the normally very rational Anders was no fan of Hunt. Bottom line is that MCarthy was just a terrible manager, both in recruitment and getting the best out of players.

If we’d signed that trio up we’d still be relegated with McCarthy’s 11 behind the ball, 11 back for corners tactics.

“Chester” could mean a great many people. Reading the article it should say McCarthy specifically, not disguise it as Chester.

I think we all know how dark the MM and JMc days were, do we really need to keep going over old ground?

I think we all know how dark the MM and JMc days were, do we really need to keep going over old ground? Why are you so keen to dismiss this topic? I want to go over old ground once, out of curiosity. Do you know how/where I can access a publication of Richard’s investigation, assuming it has been published.

Clearly I don’t know what a PM is, so haven’t come across it as yet. I’ll investigate now and hopefully find your PM.
