Respect where its due. A good manager. If you look at his summer signings compared to ours there is no comparison. Holyroyd Rutherford Pearson and the lad from Forest Green looked on a par with our signings , the reality was so different. Keates had done his homework where the clown McCathy hadnt.

Unfortunate for Wrexham that there's probably one club that means more to Keates than them and it's his hometown club who play in League One. No surprise he seems to be heading there.
Looking in from the outside, I'd say who Wrexham appoint for the remainder of the season and whether the continuity can be maintained is the key thing in terms of their promotion challenge.

Shocking timing that but a lot of the bandwagon wanted him gone after so many draws. I wonder if agent McCarthy will be applying.

Rutherford has been at Wrexham a couple of seasons. Let's not forget that Wrexham fans dug deep in their pockets, raising over £50k to fund the budget for Keates's summer signings.

Be interesting if he does go who Wrexham appoint. Do they appoint for the run in or someone permenant right away. Massive decision that.

Deal was all agreed yesterday apparently and compensation has been agreed with Wrexham also according to local Walsall press on Twitter.
Will be interesting who they appoint next.

Can you imagine the outcry if we'd signed Rutherford and Holroyd? Bang average players but Wrexham have managed to get something extra from them. At the start of the season if you'd offered me James and Hannah over that pair I would have bitten your hand off.

They can’t grasp that Walsall are a bigger Club. I’d like to know what they smoke over there.

Is Jon McCarthy available? I’ll pay his wages. There's year and years and years of rivalry with the Reds. They're our enemy, BUT you wouldn't wish him on them. that's above and beyond rivalry or hatred.

They’re in complete meltdown, I think it’ll favour them as Keates is to defensive for a play off push, Just look at Fylde and Tranmere right now, banging them in. Draws and 1-0’s can only go so far.
