Absolutely, I am a serious investor and prepared to put a million, in to the club? What actually do I get for my investment? Can I sell the ground, build houses and re-located the ground? No! its owned by the council. Has it got any assets? No! So you want me to gift you a couple of million, with nothing in return? Heres an easy one for you Billy? How many takers do you think we will get? Have you thought there may be a consortium of local fans willing to invest?

It may have been a rumor but wasn’t Jonathan Legard and Tony (?) Durkin expressing some interest in investing and both are long time supporters. I couldn’t agree more with NWAS that if there is another major crisis we would have to seek external funding. I didn't word it well. I meant if there was an "investor" and we got screwed again that would be it.

Unless and until the unlikely event of a serious offer of outside investment comes forward we have no alternative than to make the existing fan owned structure work as best as we can.

I would be very wary of their intentions. Ego trip springs to mind.

If there is such a consortium of local fans they are probably already as individuals "investing" along with the rest of us. They may be willing and able to do substantially more should the general membership be unable to sustain the club long term. Personally I doubt the existence of a consortium as such, and if there is they had the ideal opportunity to float there proposal in January.

As a fans owned club let’s be honest it’s going nowhere apart from downhill, investment is needed for us to progress.

What then? We stick around in that league for a few years before people want an even larger wad of cash in order to progress further and so on? Not sustainable is it?

For me we’ve attempted it and proven that it’s not possible that we can progress up the footballing pyramid as it stands. I would prefer to go 51 / 49 with CFU holding the 51%. What about Wimbledon and Newport County? Can't we send one of these working parties down to get some ideas? Of course it's possible, we just screwed it up a bit on our first attempt

This poll says it all to me really. If it's a true reflection of what our supporters think, with some prepared to walk away if we are anything other than fan owned and a good proportion wanting private ownership/investment. Where does it leave us? some sort of compromise has got to be the answer with so many disillusioned staying away. Agree. I'm stunned that fan ownership is being blamed. There's plenty of clubs that make it work - a lot more than struggle. Halifax went down and came back up again, why do we have to wave a white flag and beg for somebody to come and save us? Bloody millenials...

Have you thought there may be a consortium of local fans willing to invest? Who Billy? They are the quietest consortium I've ever heard. If this consortium exists why did they not show up a month ago when we were deep in the shit? Why wait for the fans to bail the club out to the tune of 100k and then play the role of white knight? Personally that doesnt sit too good with me. lol

Just my opinion but we need to stand firm on fan ownership
