With the clubs perilous financial situation rumbling on,three of us season tickets holders in H-Block decided to support the club by paying to use the hospitality in The Legends Lounge. On saturday at twelve, my wife dropped us off in the club car park the same time as the clubs sponsored walkers were limbering up.It was fantastic to see so many participants on such a cold windswept day.A comedy gold moment ensued, as our efforts to access the ground were thwarted by the walkers, and we were temporarily swept along by the hordes towards the car park gates.Once upstairs,we were treated royally,i cant exaggerate the friendliness, warmth and professionalism of all staff and volounteers,a credit to the club.Had a wonderful meal and met a nice couple from the wirral, Frank and Suzanne, all in a convivial environment. Our problems started once inside the ground, sat to the right of the players tunnel. Our efforts to get an atmosphere going with a cry of "come on city" were met with disgust and disdain by the locals.A bad tackle on a Chester player led me to jump up and voice my disapproval, upon which a gentleman behind me told me to "sit down".Moments later i committed the fatal faux pas of swearing at another bad tackle on a a Chester player.A gentleman in front of me barked at me "dont swear"and i immediately apologised. Not long after, a member of the Aldershot management team swore loudly a few yards away and the gentleman in front never said a word!As we left our seats at half time to return to The Lounge, another gentleman muttered something about not wanting "our sort" in their stand. My two companions refused to come out for the second half,so angry and disillusioned at their treatment.I refused to be bullied out of supporting the team i have followed for fourty six years, and returned for the second half on my own. This time i sat to the left of the players tunnel and sat down next to a gentleman sat with his elderly father. As soon as i sat down he challenged me with "what are you doing here?" I was flabbergasted and totally flummoxed by this question, but kept my cool and my counsel. My attempts at conversation with him were rudely ignored, so i just concentrated on not swearing, singing or jumping out of my seat.Unfortunately, another contentious decision against the Blues had me raising my arm in protest,to which the gentleman next to me reacted aggressively saying i was blocking his view of the pitch! Now im seething, and wanting to grip this chap, but as hes with his elderly father i let it go.After a days reflection, im wondering why if people want an afternoon of serenity and quiet contemplation, why are they in the main stand of their local football and not in their local church? Needless to say, my companions and i wont be returning to The Legends Lounge, the three of us have 130 years of following the blues between us.One travels to home matches from Liverpool and the other is on the fundraising committee of Chester Football Club.We shall return to the sanctity and comfort of H-block,where free speech and support of the team are compulsory

Our players need all the support they can right now, but a simple cry of ‘’Come On City’’ is met by disgust by so-called supporters. Awful! Those people seriously need to give their heads a big wobble if they felt disturbed by a long-term fan giving his team his support. Sounded quite nasty ewloeblue.

Idiot. Yeh, let's slag off the people who put most money into the club by paying to go in the Legends Lounge, could only happen on Deva Chat. I am not one of them BTW.

This sounds like a comedy sketch. H Block massive upsetting some delicate petals in hospitality. Seriously though, you wonder what some folk expect from a non league football match. It's not Old Trafford, there's no hiding from the odd swear word or a bit of passion. The only place in the ground that should be exempt from swearing is in the Family Stand, other than that then its fair game!

In fairness, there were a lot of hospitality guests in that area of the main stand on Saturday, including many of the young mascots. Contrary to what was said by the OP, someone in the crowd had a go at Aldershot's assistant manager for swearing in front of the kids and he did apologise. i agree swearing goes with the game and you will never eradicate it but I can understand people getting upset when they are with their kids and have sponsored the game, then to hear someone effing behind them.

We have done the legends lounge a couple of times for the past few seasons and each time it's been superb. What we do is let the club know we don't want the seats that go with the package,as we prefer to sit in our usual seats as the atmosphere is always better, sitting with the people we sit with every week.
