What if we all (clubs) kept changing names like Chester?
You've had 3 already.

Not so sure, we do sing "come one city" because we're all used to singing it before disaster happened. I must admit, I'm not what you'd call an old supported but I've been going since I was 4 years old back in 1996. I still miss the old days, the big game against Hereford in our title winning year, the scrappy 1-0s with Bolland in a back 3. Gutting to think we're probably going down into nothing football again next season. Anything below the National just gets no recognition or coverage.

I remember we used to sing ‘Come on City’ back in the 70s (and probably before) when we were just plain old Chester FC.

Many clubs still see us as Chester City, nothing wrong with that, we're a continuation anyway.
