I can’t download the reports but we must have a change of manager next season. Marcus could re-apply but at least we would be testing the water.

Cant download them either but he is bound to give his backing to MB he's only been back a week and if he didnt what sort of working relationship would they have anyway it's probably as good as a chairman giving a manager his backing and then sacks him a week later

Marcus bugnot should be given the chance to manage us next season on a level playing field. we can not keep binning managers every season let's see what he can do with all his own players

I think this one has been done to death. Nothing against Marcus and I think he'll be a decent manager somewhere, but this club needs a fresh start and we cannot afford to start another season with fans unconvinced by a manager as the pressure will be on him almost as soon as the first bad result comes along. I wonder if NY coming back is a tactic to butter up the fans about Bignot e.g. he stays but forms a duo with a legend like Youngie.

New manager comes in fails to win first 3 or 4 games which is highly likely with the buget we will have then the knives will be out for him as well, and dozens of people will be posting “ I told you he wasn’t the right man for the job” that’s what we do.

Marcus bugnot should be given the chance to manage us next season on a level playing field. we can not keep binning managers every season let's see what he can do with all his own players Bignot would not be “binned” though, would he? He took a fixed term contract which is soon to expire. It happens in all walks of life. The board should presently be deciding what they want from a manager when the contract ends, and get the position advertised. In my opinion, Marcus Bignot, as the current manager, should be automatically shortlisted, assuming he wants to apply. If he gets the job I’m sure he will have the full support of all. However, if the position is not advertised and he is automatically reinstalled, then that will come with the current level of dissent, which is not in the best interests of the club. For those who desperately want him, why would you be fearful of an open selection process? Surely you too want the best person for the job, and for that person to prove it via an open selection process.

As Si says, it's been done to death now. I get that Bignot has his supporters and I will always defend him regards the situation he took on and to,some extent he didn't stand a chance. Bu we need north west based people at the club. Especially when that person is one of the most important people at the club. We need a manager who can go and watch Curzen Ashton on a Monday night followed by Alty on a Tuesday. When young was manager he was out most nights watching football. How on earth can Bignot do all this from Birmingham?

Young seemed to suggest in his interview that he was the remit for moving players out and in, just to add I am not against a fresh interview scenario if all interested parties got a chance to apply.

He has got a job only until the end of the season, not a rolling contract. He would be applying for a new job. I’m not laughing, and neither will I be if he gets it unchallenged with all the resentment from many fans that would go with it. Laugh out loud if it makes you happy, you clearly don’t see the logic.

Understood that the Board will be making a decision on Bignots future over the coming weeks Just a shame not making a decision earlier has cost us so much money in attendances and probably will do to the end of the season. Whatever is decided it has to galvanise the fans. We are dead in the water without capturing the imagination and playing some entertaining football. I'm not saying there was a saviour out there, but without a clean break from this hangover and some passion back at the club our attendances will cripple us.

As I've stated elsewhere. Our supporters will point the finger at him as he's at the helm if/when we go down. Despite Marcus probably being a leading candidate for any job in the Conference North or indeed, the Conference.
This guilty by association is what may put supporters off purchasing tickets on a match day or suchlike and that's the only reason I can think of to no give him a fair chance next season. Starting from next season we need any and all back down the club attending games, events, buying the sponsorships again, going the bar and heading upstairs for a meal etc etc. It all makes a difference to the balance sheets. If the manager will put people off any or all of that, then it has to change unfortunately.
