what a shambles of a club they are they get gates of around 300 to 400 but the cost of a season ticket for next year is only £100, they could go up into the football league with the lowest fan base in the leagues history, talk about Micky Mouse club goes to Hollywood 😀.

Having a closer look their average is a bit higher than stated but for a team in 2nd place 600 is still very poor.

They’re planning to build a new 1,400 stand for some reason, doubt it will ever actually be used perhaps other than a friendly with Arsenal’s fourth team one evening every July. Average home support is indeed about 3-400. No real sign of improving support either so you wonder what the point is really.
It is a surreal place to visit, our two matches there have been completely dull draws as well. Durrell scored his wonder goal there though.
But yeah, thoroughly unlikeable club, charge opposition and the media to provide commentary when I think it’s just common courtesy everywhere else as well.

I've booked holiday to coincide with our trip there, just to make sure I'm not tempted. Absolute waste of space. Been there once, that was enough. I'd put them on a par with Solihull.

Was the season tickets that cheap this season? I thought there admission in Past was always quite expensive ? No suprise they're doing well this season anyway they're heavily backed by Arsenal

Utmost respect for Chester-based fans who go to games like this every season. I always like the novelty of visiting a new ground, but to go somewhere like Boreham Wood repeatedly takes amazing dedication. But yes, they’re the classic example of what’s wrong with this division. Poor ground, low support, unfriendly attitude, even their name is depressing! But it’s quite an affluent area on the London commuter belt, so there’s always a chance of a local sugar daddy - in their case a man who once assaulted three women.

Could be something to do with meeting League 2 stadium capacity requirements

Shed loads of money helps it gets you those strikers and defenders you talk about, all the clubs at the bottom are spending money on loan players as we speak with the exception of Hartlepool who have a transfer embargo I believe.

I'm not disagreeing that money counts. But they've scored the goals, gotten the points. Having a bigger fan base gives no rights to promotion. We may not agree with their ownership model but if they go up they've earned it by winning.

Cracking social club, even let you in at half time. Able to spend the second half in there? Just thinking for when we’re 4-0 down in a few weeks.

I think it's open half time only and before and after game, sat in the main stand 2 seasons ago, you have to go out the ground, they give you a ticket then back through the turnstile for 2nd half, social club is in front of main stand, like ours is.
