Does anyone know what we need through gate now to break even (other than as many as possible) ? New chairman recently said gate money was below budget but surely after letting about 10 players and all staff go we must hardly have any wage outgoings ? If we cant survive on these crowds now then how are we going to manage next season ?

Hopefully a board member can give us an estimation so we all know what we're aiming for.

I recall reading the initial break even figure and subsequent budget was set from an attendance figure of 2200. With the comings and goings it must be closer to 1800 now.

To answer your second question, the costs will be vastly reduced in the regional league and obviously the playing budget will also be reduced. We'll manage.

A reasonable rule of thumb would be getting at least an average of 2000 over the last 4 home games vs Torquay, Tranmere, Bromley and Maidstone.
Which essentially means getting 2 good gates vs Torquay and Tranmere to cover what will be poor attendances to our last 2 games. For what its worth, if we get 2,000 and 3,000 roughly for those 2 games we'd need to cover 1500 on each last two games which is unlikely. We need people to turn up good frieday and vs Tranmere. Realistically they are the only games likely to generate the funds to get us to the end of the season.

We will undoubtedly sell out for the "derby" (although how many tickets we have seems to be a closely guarded secret as the number seems to be somewhere between 1800 and 2200) so hopefully that will help you out. Most of us genuinely hate to see you guys in this mess especially given your recent history of coming back from the dead as it were. Ok we are local rivals but that goes out of the window in these circumstances.

Can you please do us a favour and get promoted this season so that Wrexham can have a nice local derby against a Yorkshire side.

Certainly do our best mate but our bad start to the season and a bad 10 minutes against Macclesfield at home a few weeks back has probably done for us and I never fancy us in the Play Offs as we have too many bottle merchants in the club as was proved at Wembley last season.

Tranmere will be kicking themselves if they don’t go up this season surely? It’s been a wide open season where no team looks much cop at all. Should have been a very easy season to stay up as well!

So we need about 2000 for Torquay, taking into account 700 could be season ticket holders another 250 might be free tickets. Are we looking to get at least 1000 paying on the day at the turnstiles so that we don't have to dip into the money raised over the last month?

roughly i would say so yes, as i fear the Bromley and Maidstone games will be poor attendances as people won't just turn up to keep the club alive, as noted on other threads.
