Thought I'd look into this properly, as to be honest so much old muck about Corbyn is raked up and presented out of context, I've become immune to it.
First of all, he made a mistake and commented on something without looking into it properly. He should, and has, apologised for it. It should be noted though that Corbyn has always been a huge advocate of free speech, even if he doesn't agree with something, hence he actually supported Ian Paisley when he was thrown out of parliament. He didn't say he liked or agreed with the picture, just that he was against it being removed.
Also, this was six years ago. Social media and the behaviour around it changes very quickly, and we all get smarter with how we're using it. People were naive in the things they said and did on Facebook and Twitter at first, and it's pretty easy to find stupid comments on anybody's feed if you really want to.
What's really sad is that it's a Labour MP flagging this up and several others jumping on it. When will they stop this in-fighting? When will they realise that a very weak Tory government is just about clinging on and at the moment, they have a leader that people actually like and are proud to vote for? It's for these reasons that I still don't consider Labour to be my party.
Bloody social media is holding back our progress as a species. Religion isn't helping either!
