"Due to the close proximity to Easter."
Personally I would champion a move to having the monthly CFU meetings at, say, 11am on a home matchday.

I completely understand.
Easter does tend to creep up on you when you least expect it... 🤔

Seems a bit odd. Easter wasn’t arranged this week!
I’d agree that doing it on a matchday would appear to make a lot of sense. Brings the football and administrative side of things together and is likely to be better attended.

I read on a Facebook group they’re struggling to find a suitable off-site venue.

Isn't what we want to hear really when we're looking to improve things off the field. Like others have said, you know when bloody Easter is. Sounds like a case of no organisation in term of venue. These meetings can make a difference to the club.

I see that the minutes from the last two formal CFU members meetings (Jan and March) have been published and are available for all to read on the CFU website - click on 'meetings' and scroll down

I must say I was very disappointed to read that this week's CFU meeting has been cancelled and at very late notice - informal or not! While a huge amount has been going on in recent weeks, I think it is important to keep the channels of communication going. While a lot of people may be away for the Easter holiday weekend some of us Exiles will actually be back in Chester and lose the opportunity to attend. I really hope the excuse was not because they couldn't find an off-site venue. Although I think moving the CFU meetings around the area is an excellent idea, there is no harm in having the odd one back in the Blues Bar and helps swell the bank balance. I wonder if we need to have an Events Working Group too to take over the forward planning of these meetings and think about getting some guest speakers which may help take a load off the Board's shoulder and prove a welcome diversion from the cloud that hangs over us at the moment?
