I can see where your coming from, to most he's just another player fallen from grace. Some years ago now I had a few friends in Stoke academy teams so would go and watch when I could. Never remember seeing heneghan or alabi, but Dawson stuck out like a saw thumb in the games I saw him play and for all the right reasons. If tonight is a taster of what's to come, he will be a very good signing. Agreed, looked a tidy player. Looking forward to seeing more of him. |

Apparently Dawson played in the same group at Stoke as Alabi and Heneghan, and importantly developed a good understanding with JA. He is also seen as good at set pieces and corners despite his free kick tonight ! Potentially a very good addition in centre midfield where we are often v.weak

I liked the look of him. Gotta be better than Joyce. I'm not knocking the guys effort but tonight exposed his lack of quality and Tranmere just passed the ball around him. We needed some bite in the middle and he failed to provide it. Could see Dawson and Shaw being a good pairing.

You could say that all 6 subs looked lively tonight, albeit with all 3 of Tranmere's making the biggest impact by each of them scoring!

Norwood and Cook versus a couple of young lads. I have less of an issue with Tranmere because they get the gates to back up the spending to a degree, but let's not forget they got the parachute payments. Still so proud of what we are looking to achieve, but we really need to up our game on the marketing side of things to make us believe that in the future we can be competing at the top end of this league, because it IS achievable. r |

He looked pretty good apart from his Barnet. Short back and sides for the next game please. Astles should let him go have a go of his clippers!

Dawson looked decent when he came on , probably going to need a few games to sharpen up though . Nice to see us sign someone with a bit of size too, we have some big lads now and it makes a difference in this league !
