I have to say that after a great surge of enthusiasm when the previous board stepped down and some old faces returned concern has definitely started to creep back in again.
We are cancelling meetings again, this time because of Easter and there has gradually become a silence from within over recent weeks. Board members who previously posted are no longer positing and we have resorted back to the rallying calls for fans to get behind the team and sharing events on Facebook as our main marketing strategy.
There are clearly issues behind the scenes still in terms of our monetary situation and there is still a lack of clarity over the situation, despite the tremendous efforts to raise 100k. MB alluded to as much in his post-match interview.
Today's efforts were positive in terms of getting numbers through the gate, but unfortunately we have been badly let down by the team again. It concerns me that we are offering contracts to players like Dawson and that we seem no nearer to resolving the management situation heading into next season. Bringing Neil Young back is not the answer and would smack of emotional attachments again dictating over rational thinking.
I am hoping that I am wrong and that come the end of the season a flurry of positive messages will come out of the club, each of which is currently being worked on. However, the silence and some of the goings on in recent weeks has led me to have flashbacks of the recent past.

Where has it been said that Dawson has been offered a new contract? Surely not? Didn't he like a Wrexham fans tweet about signing for them? Told the crowd to F off today? Get rid. He's useless.

The Easter excuse was pathetic, it has hardly just popped up out of nowhere.
As you say, all the hard work and effort in getting fans down the ground has done nothing more than make up the numbers we will now lose for the Bromley gate. It will be the lowest crowd since reformation.

Apparently Dave Powell confirmed this on Twitter according to the Dawson thread. It's things like this that cause me great concern. Who is sanctioning this kind of thing and what is the rationale?

Shocking. Truly shocking if it's true. What has he done to earn a new contract?

Not sure whose idea it was to say the meeting was cancelled because of Easter, an extraordinarily laughable excuse which was patently never going to wash. I think most people would appreciate a bit of honesty.

More people in the office who don't have a clue how to run a football club. We have just handed them a pot full of money. How long before they piss this away. We are already hand contracts out to players?

Sack 'em all,
The manager, the board, the volunteers, the ground staff, the caterers, the bar maids, the gatemen, the fans and the away fans.
No stone should be left unturned.

I think most people would appreciate a bit of honesty. That was a dreadful piece of PR given the situation we’re in. I’m a bit surprised more wasn’t said about it.

Especially as we only found out it was off by reading it on here! Actually I'd forgotten it was on. How come we didn't get an email telling us it was off? How come Cleggy doesn't remind us at the games? Don't bleat about how few people turn up for the meetings, if you haven't the decency to tell us they are on, and then not tell us you've cancelled them!

Some need a scapegoat, sounds like it’s Dawson’s fault we are in the state we’re in. Meanwhile, the useless board, manager and his consultant don’t get any grief. What about the 20 stone Astles??? He’s untouchable on here!!

Can't believe anyone has been offered a new contract for next season until we know who the manager will be. The only exceptions are the young lads that we need to offer terms to to ensure we get a pay off if they do leave (i.e. not the Ben Heneghan disaster again).
