Nathan Brown's goal must be one of the best ever scored at the Deva, one Messi would have been proud of and Hannah can only dream about. Ran from the half way line beat 3 players and fired an unstopable shot into the top corner.Worth the entrance fee just to see that goal.

I really can't think of many better, especially by a young lad who's hardly played a game at that level, reminded me of Owen's goal v Argentina years ago but Brown ran with it further

In the words of John Squire it’s a beautiful thing.

Superb goal. A truly brilliant moment of magic. He's absolutely tiny but the opposition didn't know what to make of him. One of my favourite ever moments as a Chester supporter.

Michael Twiss in 2003 ( I think) That is the best goal I've ever seen live.

I remember the twiss goal, but this is up there with the greatest ever goals. Terry Owen's overhead kick v Millwall, in a 3-0 win and Billy Deardens rocket shot from the half way line v Oldham, about 1969. It really was that good.

Fantastic strike - Owen was as quick with the ball at his feet as he was without and Brown did the same tonight. Never looked like he was going to slide it through for Archer, never looked like he'd miss.
He got a fantastic ovation from the Bromley fans which was generous of them.

Seen quite a few down the years - Agogo's was unreal, McGinn's meant the most to the club, Dover's one-touch passing move the other season was probably the best opposition goal I have ever seen at the Deva...
... but Michael Twiss's second against Exeter towards the end of 03/04 season was easily the best for me. Sublime.

I'm not sure a goal which 'took a bobble' his own words btw, can be classed as the greatest ever scored at the deva.
Good goal though!

-Agogo v Cheltenham -Steve Whitehall v Hereford in about 2000 - a last minute chip that seemed to hang in the air for an eternity -Alex Smith v Barnet in 2003 - an absolute rocket from miles out -Alex Brown v Chorley -Sarcevic v Harrogate (I think?) - reminiscent of Gazza v Scotland -Wes Baynes scoring two 40-yard lobs in the same game, think the opposition was Buxton

Its a good bit of skill and hit it well enough but let's be honest, any half decent keeper should be saving that or turning it around the post

Are you sure it wasn't Ray Poulteney (spelling?) who scored one from what appeared to be the half way line? He wasn't a goals scorer but it was thunderbolt from nowhere. Billy Dearden just ran up the pitch with the ball and knocked it in at will....

Steve Whitehall scored an absolute worldie volley. It was against Kettering, and sure it was on a Sunday?
