I would love to see Macclesfield win this league just to prove that it can be done with a small budget. They only have to win one of their final 2 matches to clinch it, but I have a bad feeling that Tranmere are going to win all their remaining matches. They're are down to their bare bones with the likes of Durrell and Lloyd injured and their main striker suspended. I hope they can do it.

Agree. The sending off of Blissett was an absolute abomination and all.

It's not as much in the bag as it appears simply by looking at the table. Tranmere's last three games are all ones they should win, and their goal difference means that if they do, Macc need another win from their last two games. Still, I think Macc will just about do it and it would be a hell of an achievement.

If he does it then Askey should get Manager of the Year. Forget Guardiola what he (Askey) has done is superb.
I would like to see Boreham Wood win the play offs as it would show this league for what it actually is. Then again if Tranmere go up it would leave Wrexham with a nice local derby against Salford!

John Coleman would run him close. But shows that a big budget isnt everything!!

Macclesfield nearly ~ there 2-0 up at Eastleigh. Despite the 9th place finish last season they were predicted to struggle this year losing some players to rivals as well as not recruiting till mid July! fantastic achievement which puts plenty of Clubs to shame as well as us.

Our players a disgrace hope their proud!!!! Yep, watched most of the 2nd half even if the standard wasn't great they were up for every 2nd ball fighting, nothing we've seen all season.

Congratulations to Macclesfield, what a brilliant achievement for them. At the same time though, it's sickening. I don't want to sound like a broken record but if only people had listened to our concerned this time last year. Had we had a competent manager to utilise the "biggest budget Chester FC have had" then we might have been looking at promotion ourselves, rather than relegation. As it is, they will be a Football League club. Something we so badly want to be. Whereas we are battling it out with Boston, Chorley, fake Man Utd, Southport, Guiseley etc etc in a regional league.

I know it’s very sad and extremely frustrating our situation Paul. Agreed with the correct choices at the time we might even have been able to challenge ourselves. Take nothing away from Macc congratulations to them.

Tranmere fans crying over that Macc Town coach video is what Twitter was made for. Obviously turd burglars like Norwood,Cook and Davies have hacked them off as well. Well done Macc.
