After a long, hard season, we finally play our last home game tomorrow against Maidstone United. We have had to endure a series of poor displays at home but that was mostly with the ‘old’ squad. This new squad however, have played with plenty of pride and fighting spirit lately and don’t deserve dogs abuse tomorrow. Maybe so with this season’s previous squad but it would be nice to give the current team a good send off as it may be the last time that some supporters see them play in the blue and white. Also, the potential new manager could be watching so it would be nice to create a good atmosphere.
Maidstone will have a long journey from Kent but aren’t out of the woods just yet so they will be trying their best to achieve survival. I think that they’ll be fine but they would want that win to confirm it. It would be nice to see a good turnout at the Deva tomorrow. The weather should be warm and of course the reduced admission is in place again so let’s get behind the lads for the last time at home. Come On You Blues! Score: Chester FC (Vose, Akintunde) 2-0 Maidstone United Attendance: 1,624 (141 Maidstone United) COYB!

Looking forward to it as best I can given the season we have had. Hobson has returned to Bournemouth, Vose, Roberts and Archer unlikely to feature. So Calum will be bringing in some of the youth lads who have put a smile on our face this season. Noble, Brown, Jones and Crawford are all likely to start.
Maidstone might need something from the game so im expecting a cracker.
3-2 to the Blues.

Maidstone are crap, but we're crapper. Away win, because we never beat them.

Vose will struggle to score considering he’s fighting a losing battle to be fit for this match. Huge loss if he doesn’t make it.
Chester 2-2 Maidstone. Akintunde scores again with a leveller from Astles.
1,586 with 102 from Maidstone.

Get down to the stadium tomorrow. Last home game of the season. Finish on a high. Tenner on the terrace. No excuses

Decent review of tomorrow game and where you stand...really don't know what next season will bring you but after reading the comments on the last CFU meeting am worried for you as a club... me I'm off to Orient tomorrow fully expecting us to confirm our 11th season in this league..... where did it all go wrong for both of us... don' lose your hope or love or your club Rio... even when ale and women rear their ugly head..

It would be nice to go out on a high. It’s what the doctor ordered. Hopefully. COYB.

3 - 0 Chester. Nathan Brown hat-trick then he’s off to Cruise to celebrate but the door men won’t let him in saying he’s only 14. Being the unstoppable force that he is he runs up to Rosie’s straight past the door staff and to the dance floor.

I initially thought it may be a draw today. However after a mornings hard skiing, I’m taking a beer and going for a 2-1 win. Akintunde and Brown to score.

You should get out of Wrexham more often mate😎 Seriously though, thanks for your concerns about our short term future. It doesn't look great. Hopefully we can get through next season without another relegation, and then press for playoffs the year after. Both clubs have really struggled recently haven't they. Maybe the Welsh league hasn't helped. A lot of the border teams have ended up in lower division since that came in. Local players earning good money with them as part-time instead??

With us being so thin on the ground and a squad made up of so many youth team players I feel they might be too physically strong for us today, we are going to have a fair few players playing out of position due to the injuries and players missing. I am sure we will show plenty of effort so looking foreword to a decent game.

A good start by the kids and a goal ruled out of offside then reality hit us.

I know we may be giving some of our young lads a chance today. Even so it’s really sad to hear that we are 2-0 down against what I thought were a very poor side when I watched them the other week. Really sad times we can only get better COYB

Maidstone are down to 10 men. I think a HT formation change should happen if we are to put more pressure on them.

Probably was a pen from where I was sat but wasn’t nailed on. Firth has been well off it today & was entirely at fault for the second.

As one of the so called coffin dodgers in the East Stand massively disappointed at lack of support in Harry Mac despite tenner offer ? Totally out sung and outdrummed by Maidstone despite less numbers ? Seems as though youngsters have deserted the team more than the coffin dodgers ? Hope we can all get it together nex season ?

Probably was a pen from where I was sat but wasn’t nailed on. Firth has been well off it today & was entirely at fault for the second. Right in front of me and never a penalty in a million years, one of the softest l've ever seen, looked to get the ball first. Second one given away by Firth after keeping us in the game a minute earlier with a great save.

Poor from Astles. Won the ball, stood still waiting for a whistle that never came, they nipped in and scored.
Play the whistle lad.
Masters of our own downfall this afternoon.
