James Jennings seems to get quite a slagging off from Wrexham fans these days. Thought they regarded him as an excellent signing for a time after he joined them?

Still possible for Wrexham of course but will need a fair bit of luck now. Always thought this season that they just lack a bit, was especially highlighted in the very fortunate Derby win here back in November. Just looked really quite poor and unconvincing that night, remember walking back up Bumpers Lane and non league āexpertsā Alan Alger and Adam Virgo were bleating on about it being a āsign of championsā to win ugly like that. Wasnāt convinced myself, we win like that ourselves whenever we manage it for christ sake. to be fair weāve played very poor all season but Keates leaving really was the nail in the coffin. If heād stayed things might of been different. In both the games against us, you seemed a very ordinary side and had you been promoted, there would have had to be wholesale changes to survive in the league. This league was the poorest I have seen and if you couldn't go up this year I doubt you ever will. Makes you wonder whether the Board would prefer decent gates in this league rather than struggle in League 2. i do genuinely feel a bit sorry for the true Wrexham fans who raised a magnificent sum pre season and turned up in numbers every week, only to be let down yet again at the final hurdle. They have a right to feel cheated but no doubt come August, they will be claiming a new manager as the Messiah and bigging up that they will walk the league - again. We may be crap and in turmoil but at least we don't have the delusions and inevitable disappointments every season - is it now 11 years and counting.

Only down to mismanagement really, Just shows how careful we have to be but weāll dust ourselves off and be back before you bottle another play off šš¼šš¼ Mismanagementšš 754 for a home game. Very sad but your club is a shambles. Shambles? Tell me something we donāt know!

We've still got the basis for going into next season as a shambles.

A lot of people have said Wrexham are ordinary, but whoās been any better? I canāt believe a side as poor as Ebbsfleet might finish in the playoffs. Tranmere didnāt turn up until November but will finish second.
Itās been a bit of a freak season, I think, and Wrexham (and definitely ourselves) should have taken better advantage of it.

Totally agree. I think the best footballing team I've seen this season was Woking and look where they are now.

If Ebbsfleet and Fylde both win and Orient beat Wrexham then the dream is over for the 10th season We threw it away games and weeks ago sonny. Here's the irony.....you threw in the towel last November. Hes right. Anyone trying to taunt Wrexham after the season we have just had is making us look even more of a laughing stock. Lets get our own house in order eh?

Agreed that it's been such a poor league this season. I haven't seen an outstanding team all season. Makes the ineptitude of Jon McCarthy even more embarrassing to look where we are now, when in reality this was the season we could have actually found ourselves in the top half.
Wrexham, in both games, have looked absolutely average. If I was a supporter of theirs, I'd really see this season as a missed opportunity. Can only see it being more difficult next season with Chesterfield coming down and Salford coming up.

Salford coming up are a problem, but I'd potentially disagree with the Chesterfield part. They may quite as easily be a Leyton Orient or Hartlepool.

Well, TBH 11 years in this division is something you would dream of. In fact 11 years without going bust again is something you're finding difficult to achieve...

Enjoy chorley they love you scousers Scouse or welsh which is it? ... Seeing kids and OAPās getting bricked by that lot. Horrible Club. Welsh mostly We had a great day out a Chorley pre season - drinking with their supporters in town and at the ground. For some reason they seem to hate you lot - well the guys I was drinking with did anyway. It was the same at Telford a couple of years ago for some reason. Back to the footy - I am seriously not at all happy about your relegation - if Tranmere get promoted then its a double wammy and we will be well out of pocket next season. A fact missed by many of our supporters.

Sweet victory that was. Yes it will be a massive kick in the nads for Wrexham if Tranmere go up to.

Salford coming up are a problem, but I'd potentially disagree with the Chesterfield part. They may quite as easily be a Leyton Orient or Hartlepool. There is every chance we will go down again, making it 3 relegations in 3 seasons. We are a complete shambles on and off the pitch. Lester has gone today along with all his coaches. Ā£10million in debt which is rising circa Ā£100k every month currently. Playing budget reduced from Ā£2.2million to Ā£900k in the conference next season (I have no idea where that sits with the rest of the teams in there but assume mid table). Plenty of terrible players under contract for next season who will struggle at NL level including Chris O'Grady on Ā£4k per week. Attendances tumbling. No trust from the fans in anyone at board level.
It's bad. It's very bad. I'm gutted you lot went down as it would have been a 10 minute away, away day for me.

Sorry to say this but I really do think that you will do a Hartlepool or a York. The National League has been a graveyard for ex-league clubs. You can just look at the likes of Stockport, Torquay, Leyton Orient and our friends down the road to see how difficult it can be. Also I believe that Dagenham (another former League Two club) could possibly go out of business in the coming months if they don't clear up debts of over Ā£200,000. Sad to hear about Chesterfield but I wish you all the very best for the future. You will most certainly need it!

900k is enough to win the league. Ours was half that this season, 450k, our highest budget ever, and that was a solid mid table budget which should have seen us safe. The feeling is mutual; I would have loved Chesterfield away.

Results tonight mean that Wrexham canāt reach the playoffs. ^Can still mathematically make it but it's very unlikely. They need Boreham Wood to lose, Bromley and Dover not to win and they themselves have to win by a decent margin vs Fylde to make up a <5 GD on BW

Yeah you lot sound screwed unless you get the right man in next season. I've heard Ronnie Moore is after the job. Good luck with that!
