FM 2018-Update
The update for FM18 has well and truly messed Chester up on the game, i suppose like real life haha.
Anyone played it since the Jan update and what are your thoughts?

I started a game as unemployed after the update, wanting to wait until Bignot got sacked before taking over. We finished bottom in 2017/18, but Bignot was kept on. Bignot was sacked mid way through 2018/19 with the club in the bottom half. I applied and took over, ending up finishing 14th. Following season, I took us back up in the playoffs and am now 2nd in the National League after 28 games in 2020/21. |

Haven't played FM for a few years. If it's in any way realistic, the January update should've made it impossible to sign anyone unless they play for expenses, all the high-earners shipped out from under your nose, and regular changes in the boardroom!
Can clubs actually fold on FM now? They used to just keep going into administration.

I held back from purchasing the latest version due to the bugs and I still enjoy my FM17 save.
Might give the next version a bash though. Could be mission impossible!

We start with a negative bank balance and no wage budget remaining and when i started Astles put in a transfer request. |
