Noticed that another reformed ex-league club, Scarborough Athletic, will be in the Northern Prem next season - one league below us.
Their road back after going under, having commenced in 2007, has been longer than ours but it's great to see decent clubs like that on the road to recovery in the world of these poorly supported sugar daddy clubs. They're also back in Scarborough now after playing in Bridlington for 10 years. Good luck to them.
Not forgetting of course Scarborough FC provided the opposition the day we won the Conference in '04.

Some great memories of playing Scarborough. Winning there 1-0 with Mark Came in goal for 85 minutes and a last minute winner. Seem to remember Rod Thomas having a worldie there once and us scoring three or four and of course they were our opponents when we won the league. Also remember that numb nut who posted on the old DC kicking off because there were Chester supporters in the away end that day!

Do they still play at the theatre of chips? demolished in 2011 Yep it was abandoned and left to rot - sounds a familiar story. They play in a new 4,000 capacity stadium I think now.

Takes me back this, remember the supporters team playing out a 3-3 draw with the Scarborough lads back in 2009. Their equaliser courtesy of a Sychdyn Blue own goal. Not a bad footy weekend away at all.

Wasn't an OG actually. Me and Darlo both went for the same ball, the both stopped when we realised - allowing their attacker to nick it and fire home.

I think Scarborough will struggle to get much higher than where they are next season. Their crowds went up quite considerably though when they moved back to their home town. I think South Shields should win that league next season.

It may take a season or two but I'd expect them to be in the Conf North sooner or later.

On that day we won the Conference there were a number of Scarborough fans who came all the way down and missed the game as me and Mrs Hannibal did even though we were at the ground at 2.00 pm.
