I hope the coming season the fans stop with the constant criticism of players on here like they did last season. Put yourself in their shoes they read whats said on here like anyone else. Think would you like your public work rate on line for all to read. Come on support means support try it this coming season.

It's a two way thing. Players need to show effort and some fight for the badge, if they want respect from fans, you know?

Is it any wonder the fans were completely turned off and had no faith whatsoever given the highly questionable committment of the likes of James, Turnbull, Rowe-turner, McCombe , White, Dawson and Hannah (and to a lesser extent Halls due to recent improvement). Other than the excellent young lads and notable exceptions who came in during the last few difficult months, how many other players actually come out with any credit for their performances and effort ? It also appears possible that one of the worst offenders may be returning if he can’t be off-loaded , and if so, let’s hope for a drastic improvement . I can’t believe that our current management duo would have tolerated the utterly abject such abysmal performances from the so called experienced professionals we employed, many of whom were here for an easy pay day having seemingly exploited the ineptitude/naivety of Jon McCarthy with such devastating results for the club.

I normally try to stay positive. Even recently during all the flapping on here I felt all would work out. And whilst it's still early days we look to have turned a corner. But last season there was no defending those players. I don't really want to waste anymore time on them. We all know which ones shirked and which ones didn't. 90% of what was written on here about them was justified.

Too many players last season came here with an easy street mentality. I didn't say anything at the time, but something that stood out for me was that when Rowe-Turner joined, he said in an interview that he just wanted to keep fit and play football. Fair enough, but we're not a gym, we're a football club and we need players with a hunger. Halls as well had a lousy attitude when he came here, tweeting about Macc and constantly talking crap on Twitter. In fairness to him, I think he grew up as the season went on and was a lot more professional on and off the pitch in the second half of the season.
McCarthy instilled a lazy, half-arsed attitude in the players last season by asking very little of them, and sadly Bignot didn't really manage to change it.

Most of the stuff I read on here was pretty fair (firmly put no doubt) so if anybody did feel hard done by they likely deserved it. We saw several dire players pretending to be full time pro-footballers last season and were well within our right to call it for what it was. Kidderminster summed a lot of them up perfectly.

Lol Don't blame you ~~~ we've usually had the upper hand against Halifax in most of the games against them, but last season's away performance was a disgrace. Good job they retired at half-time.

I wonder how many on here have kids who played for their local team and if they did when the lad or daughter was playing would stand for any of the stuff said on here about their kids without losing it. Sadly sometimes players dot live up to our expectations But to call a player like Harry White , Harry Shite like someone did on here its so sad , But i would love to see them say it to the players faces all these brave keyboard warriors who say it all on here. Just remember they are on the field and doing their best but sometimes it wont reach your expectations not matter what they are paid no one is perfect every game so encourage them not discourage them by putting crap on here.

Sorry but there is a massive difference between kids football and the adult professional game, where people are getting £800-£900 per week and still turning in half arsed performances. In that situation they must be accountable for their actions and you would expect as a bare minimum some passion and a willingness to go in for 50/50 challenges. It was part of the ethos created by McCarthy where we were probably seen as an easy ride. Lack of ability you can accept lack of effort you cant. How many of last yearz squad gave value for money? The difference between the academy lads and the usual suspects was there for all to see. The former put them to shame.

Lol I reflect on the Halifax away and Guiseley home fixtures over Christmas as being the point when those who hadn't already given up hope finally did. They really were shockers. It wasn't so much about Bignot's managerial capability (or lack of) by then either, it was all about the profound uselessness of most of the squad. As a team they were beyond hope at this level and as a fan owned club, it's our money that paid for it.

Players being crap I can take. Seen plenty of that over the last 30 years. What I can't take is players turning up out of shape. Pulling out of tackles. Shooting from ridiculous angles when there are better placed players, because you want to be the superstar. Players who prefer to sit in the stand and have recurring muscle injuries. Players who don't make a tackle for about three months and then when there's a sniff of Christmas or new year off they pull out a two footed tackle. Professional players who continually can't make five yard passes. its about standards. Surely the things I ask for aren't the greatest of expectations? Turn up fit, hungry, disciplined and put a shift in. seriously mate, if you were happy with that effort last season you really are in the wrong sport.

Pity the board were not as honest and forthright when it came to McCarthy and Maguire. Well done Chester fans for honest and forthright views.

What I would say though is that out of respect for the new managers, any players they decide to keep on should be given a chance to redeem themselves. For example, if Harry White finds himself here next season, don’t start calling him ‘Harry Shite’ again straightaway. Give him a chance to show what he can do under new managers at a lower level. We might be surprised.
There’s not much point continuing to drone on about last season. It wasn’t good enough and we all know it, but this is a different challenge now.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions however if players like James Rowe-Turner Dawson are not trying they deserve to get crap at the end of the day us fans pay their wages
as for doing their best the only ones to come out with any credit are Gary Roberts Tom Crawford James Jones and the other youth lads and Myles Anderson

Clean sheet for all playing staff under this new management regime.

I'm happy with a clean sheet.
I think Alabi would do a job for Wrexham. Never should have gone to Tranmere.

Alabi should back here. Him and Archer would be a good partnership.
Happiness is more important than money James!
Edit - looks like he's signed for Wrexham. Oh James! What have you done?

If he's has gone to Wrexham it looks like they're building a team of our cast-offs> Holroyd, Rutherford, Roberts, etc.
