Ireland went to the polls today on the issue of whether to legalise abortion.
What would you vote? Is it something blokes should have a say on at all?
Myself, I would vote in favour of giving women the choice, but I don’t think abortions should be taken lightly or seen as the automatic choice for someone who finds themself pregnant but doesn’t want a child.

Similar to you really, I'm pro-choice but if I had a choice myself it would be against abortion.

Surprised to hear of such a high turnout - more than for the gay marriage vote a few years ago. Normally something men often feel uncomfortable expressing an opinion about either way.
Landslide ‘yes’ anyway, it seems.

Very glad that my fellow countrymen have voted yes but surprised it’s by a greater margin than the marriage equality referendum, but I guess the ‘no’ rhetoric of “please think of the children” every referendum has worn thin over the past 30 years.

An interesting thing about this from a British point of view is that there’s now heavy pressure for a referendum or change to the law in Northern Ireland, which goes against the wishes of the 10 DUP clowns currently propping up the Conservative government.
