Thought there were plans to have some sort of direct debit system where memberships could auto-renew? So you're not chasing everyone up every 12 months to renew.

Shouldn't the club have plastered this all over social media?

Shouldn't the club have plastered this all over social media? They have. Seen at least 10 tweets across the CFU and CFC twitter accounts this evening.

Yes we are looking at that as a future possibility - we have of course carried out a trial on DD's for Season Tickets, and if that works fine then we'll be able to extend it to CFU Memberships in the future, but for now we are just looking for as many people as possible to renew their membership either online via this link - or offline by calling the club on 01244 371376 during office hours, or by visiting the club ticket office during office hours where renewals (and new memberships) can be processed.
Thanks, Jeff

We also need an easy online way to join the JB's (as you need a paper form currently) and for the JB's to have new focus, nurture and care from the board as they have been drifting for years now in my opinion when in fact they should be the heart of any long-term plan to grow our fan and activist base (I would go as far to say that the JB's still haven't recovered from the death of Richie Wightman 6 years ago). I'm not attaching blame for the current situation btw, with the turmoil elsewhere I know that the JB's were not a priority, but if we have stabilised again we must try and relaunch them with volunteers/named board member given the time and resources to take things forward.

Fairly sure Jim Green is on with this. I read something on twitter earlier.

Yes, JBs transferred to the Community Trust during last season and I fully agree with the above points. We’ve had some wonderful volunteers involved with JBs over the years but unfortunately we found ourselves in a position where the previous committee could no longer continue due to changes in circumstance. It’s taken quite a while to gather and review all of the information handed over but we’ve got some good stuff lined up. Part of the Premier League Fans Fund grant is ringfenced for JBs with the target of achieving and maintaining 300 members. Another part will he used to develop some appealing activities for supporters aged 12-18 as I think much of JBs work has been focused on those aged 0-12. We’ve already had done brilliant suggestions on the kind of activities people want to see. If you have any thoughts or would be interested in getting involved as a volunteer please email juniorblues@chesterfc.com.

According to eyeswideopen on the 'undisclosed fee' thread, we're not owners. and the figures SB quotes backs my theory up wouldn't you say, The figure fluctuates which suggests we are members.Members come and go. We don't have anything to "own" But as members of an organization we have the power to make our own decisions. Its one heck of a difference.

They're run quite well, don't spend beyond their means and almost go bankrupt. All players put 100% effort in. Reasonable ticket prices for good entertainment, we could learn lessons from them.

I think memberships on the whole needs to be looked at, I think we could easily charge people more than £12 and dont see why it’s not £20 which would still be extremely reasonable. The benifits of being a member could also include discounts in the club shop, priority tickets for certain games and I’m sure there’s plenty of businesses around that wouldn’t mind given a bit of discount for being a member

I have just checked the website and no mention about anything to do with the benefits, this led me to look at last years thread regarding renewals and the same old posts as above and one year on still looking at it in the future blah blah blah why not JFDI. Also saw that as of early January (before the poo hit the fan) we had 1061 owners/members yet only 850 are due for renewal?

All members who joined or renewed since January have has their memberships extended to May 2019 so only those members from last year are due now for renewal. From the 1061 deduct 57 'life memberships' still honoured from the merger between the ISA and Supporters Trust. Plus allow for those who've already renewed and the 850 figure is about right. Current membership in this renewal period is nearly 1700 and rising.
