Crazy to hear what's going on at Villa. A loss of not far off £100m over two seasons, and now facing an overdue tax bill that their owner has had to take out a loan to pay off.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if a big club folded. While it's the likes of us, Halifax and Darlington, not too many are interested, but would a club like Villa going to the wall change anything?

It would have changed by now as Pompey pretty much went to the wall, they're still coming back.

Their owner turned up with big investment promising to take them to the next level didn't he?
Makes you realise how lucky we are to have someone willing to put in money in a structured manner without the future implications.

Spent beyond there means I'm afraid blew a lot of money on players and fancy wages at championship level doesn't work but in a way feel for them

Portsmouth got off lightly. They should have been liquidated.
When I first saw this I thought I was going to read that James Jones had been signed to replace Terry.
Yes … I am deluded. lol.

Yes, seem to remember they shafted Swindon Town down two divisions probably because they weren't a "big club"
