This question is posed as if these are the only two options, when they aren't. I think it is obvious that most people would prefer we keep the pitch at the Deva as a grass one.
The 3G/4G facility should be constructed separately, ideally on the existing land at the Deva. I'm really not at all convinced by the argument that there isn't enough room for a facility at the stadium when we had agreed in principle to have an entire bus depot put on the car park without losing any car parking spaces apparently.

Build it behind the away stand, converting those two floodlights to rotate, and due to the location get a development grant from the Welsh FA.

If it's a base for all of our junior teams etc then how much are we really going to make? Presumably they'd be using it for free. To answer the question, 100% for grass... both in a sporting sense and in a business sense. Why do you assume they would be using our 4g for free? The club must charge parents the fee for booking the pitch now so why wouldn't that same fee come to us? So its not costing the Club £162 an hour then if the parents are paying for it? So we apply for all these community grants etc to get the pitch and then charge the community to use it, Is that your master plan?

Do you think the club provide coaching and their experience for nothing? And of course the pitch hire isn't paid for by the club Jesus wept man. I'm really bored of your tiresome shite now. You're blocked

With us only leasing the stadium isn’t laying an expensive playing surface just like laying expensive carpets in a house you’re renting?

The fact is that Chester FC needs 150k to 200k of extra income to be a sustainable National League Premier club.
So the real question is what infrastructure projects can make a significant contribution to bridging that gap.
A 3G pitch on the Deva could do so. I appreciate some people are not keen on the idea but people also need to factor in what are the realistic alternatives and also the consequences of not solving this problem.

I will back whatever the board think is better for the good of the club we have to remember that most of the top teams pitches are not 100 % grass they all have some plastic in them hence they look so perfect even at the end of a busy season.

Can you guarantee that it will make money all year round given all the other venues in the area already providing this service and why is it a pointless poll as there are numerous arguments for and against its just an easy way of finding out which has the most support I don't think there's a full sized 4g pitch in the area currently. Goals is 5 and 7 aside pitches so they won't rival it Brand new full size one at Blacon High mate. Blacon YC, Saughall Colts, Upton YC and Cheshire Schoolboys all use it on a Saturday.

I don't want to watch us week in and week out on 4g. However I can see the sense of it if it is going to guarantee us regular income.

The only way it would guarantee a worthwhile income is if we get the C&DFL on board for it to be used regularly enough. I personally think it would be a white elephant.
