We set up CFU all those years ago to unite the different fans groups. I think the last thing any of us wants is to create some sort of breakaway fans group now.
Do you agree with me - that as long as they get rid of that fool moderator on devachat and start running the fans forum properly, then we merge this forum into the DC forum? If he stays then we go our own way.

I think it's too late. This new forum is way more vibrant, granted the novelty value will drop off but there are already way more posters here

I think there are more issues than just one or two mods (although one mod has caused no end of grief). The fact that there have been no new members for a while is worrying and Krankie doesn't seem interested. The original DC was fit for purpose once and is still good for those using a laptop or pc but the fact that guests can post on this version, along with the ease of use on mobiles, makes it a lot user friendly. I'll still continue to use both forums but the original DC is in dire need of an upgrade.
We need to be careful though, the fact that guests can post, with the intention of winding up those easily suckered into replying, could turn the forum into nothing more than a platform for dickheads.

I think eventually this site will need a guest forum. I also think Si will need to moderate it from time to time, but with the report button it makes it easier to do.

Yep agree with the above. At the moment everything appears rosy in the garden. Just keep it as it is at the moment, if the need arises in the future for a moderating team then fair enough. We're (mostly) grown adults on here, we should all know how to behave!

I get on as much as time allows but I'd encourage people to report anything they arent happy with so that it pops up for me to action as appropriate. |

This place feels like a new dawn. Screw the other Devachat. I heard one of the mods on the other place was a Wrectum fan anyway. Would explain a lot.
