I believe they will finish 9th. Where do you think they will finish and what position would be the one you would expect.

The team is clearly a work in progress, and clearly unfair to judge them on yesterday against a very pacy LFC attack in hot conditions. That said there were some encouraging glimpses of what may be possible. With increased fitness and some strengthening upfront, I feel we should have a very competitive side capable reaching the final spot for the play offs. Given the atrocious mismanagement of the Club prior to, and during much of last season, and the dire financial position of just a couple months ago this would be remarkable.

I'd be happy with a top half finish and an outside chance of a play-off challenge, and that's what I am expecting anyway.

As long as the employers of Maguire and McCarthy end the season in abject misery I’ll be happy. Yes, I’m bitter and twisted and full of hate! As for Chester, I’m just pleased they still exist and have what appears to be two honest and genuine blokes as joint managers. Don’t care where they finish, as long as they don’t become a stomping ground for deluded dickheads again.

7th or above. Averaging 1,900 each home game. Somehow reaching the First Round of The FA Cup. Now that would be special - no pressure on The Dynamic Duo!

Looking forward to seeing a competitive side who bust a gut for the shirt. Hoping for a top 6 finish.

Difficult call this.
Prior to bringing in Bern and Jonno I was expecting a relegation battle. Now I'm hoping for a play off push.
We've signed a bunch of players, mainly from sides who were in the Unibond last season. Also a bunch of untried kids. Difficult to see us challenging at the top given that.
On the plus side, they appear a bunch of good experienced competitive players, who should put it in every game. Add a couple of proven strikers into that group, and we could be pushing playoffs.
Looking forward to this season.

Our finishing position deoends on whether we can get a couple of decent strikers.

Our finishing position depends on whether we can get a couple of decent strikers. And an understudy goalkeeper! Hoping for mid-table but would be delighted with the play-offs.

You’ve just reminded me about how lucky we have been in recent years with good quality stand-in keepers, so not too bothered about needing to sign a permanent cover, subject to that luck continuing.

I'd be happy with a top half finish and an outside chance of a play-off challenge, and that's what I am expecting anyway. Agree with this. I feel the season will be a season of re-building and consolidation. Some of the players brought in might not fit the bill. The important things will be happening off the field hopefully. Should we sneak into the play-offs that will be a massive bonus and hopefully put a bit of money into the coffers.

It'll just be nice to see us win a few more games, at home especially. I'm not really expecting us to be challenging for the title straight away, but a play-off push will go down as a good season so I predict us to finish 8th.

Expecting a modest start but a strong second half to season after new team beds in and a few additions made. 6th place would be a good result. We all need to be patient.

Mid table for me. Chester is a Roman city and Rome wasn’t built in a day.

I'd say on the basis of our recruitment so far we'd be looking at finishing just above mid table. However, now Hannah and James have gone it frees up 40% of the budget so may allow BM & AJ to approach some of the more ambitious transfer targets. I'm not currently seeing anyone who can get us 20 goals at the moment, especially if Archer goes, so that's going to be the main focus of our recruitment I'd imagine, and it's not easy to pluck players like that from nowhere.

i reckon we will be just above mid table, we will get better as the season goes on but i still think those with bigger squads are going to be too good for us.
