Disappointed at ĺimited variety of stock for Liverpool game. Who is responsible for agreeing range of items to be sold. Online all there is is " Sold out" against majority of stock. Pllo shirts and fleeces/jackets normally a big sellersvso why none available especially online to aid cash flow pretty season ? Why not ask fans what they want to see in Club shop?

Think NWAS commented on another thread that the training gear is to be expected before the start of the season? But yeah, hopefully going forwards we can improve in this area e.g. good variety of stock managed effectively between the club shop and online store. I don't think anyone is expected masses of stuff, but I think the basics need to be training gear, good selection of replica kits, and then you're basic stationary kind of stuff. 10% off for CFU members, flash sales etc......just a couple of ideas to try and plug it a bit more.

Would have liked to have seen some nice leisurewear in time for school holidays. Things like T-shirts and polo shirts, complete with club logo.

Yes cashflow always an issue with stock in shop. Especially with first batches of kit etc (all first team, academy, womens section and staff kit also needs paying for). Now the first trenche of home kit is out and sold (first reorder due this week), the quarter zip, tracksuit tops, polos, training tops etc will be ordered. We will also be doing fleeces and non branded polos as previous and are currently working on a range of limited edition tees with the fundraising group based on a legends theme. Also ordering glasses (inc pint glasses), wallets etc. We will repopulate the online shop over the next 2 weeks to enable our Exiles to buy shirts etc. There is a further 1 season to go in the Puma/Genesis Sports deal we are contracted to I am told.

Cuff links would be great! Probably a tad too niche though so unsure how worthwhile it would be depending on cost. A pristine white collared polo with the crest is a staple too.

Personally don’t think we’d sell 10, let alone 50. I’m quite positive about the way we’ve ordered stock this season, it’s means we haven’t ordered 30 shirts for Ryan Astles again. It also means we’re protecting ourselves from excess stock resulting in a loss and having to flog it all cheap. I like our stance personally. Even if it upsets the off person who wanted a shirt that’s not in stock you’d rather that than have an excess 100 shirts costing us £17-20 a shirt just to please a few.

The idea being that if one of our larger supporters (ahem) waits til November to order one and we have no 3xl, we can order one. The downside is that no bespoke means no kits for under 7s amd down, which kills us.

We need to see off this Puma deal ASAP. It’s disappointing to hear that it’s got another two seasons to run. Who agreed to them supplying us for s long period. I bought a training top last season. Worn once and material full of bubbles on the back of the top. Adidas or Nike please ASAP.

I'm sure Banksy mentioned it last season after people had a few complaints. Agree though that I'll be happy when we have the chance to pick a new supplier (can't stand the fade on the new home shirt)

Last season’s had more white than blue in it which should be a no-no, the yellow away kit was a mess and I don’t know what’s going on with this new one. It looks dated, and not in a cool, retro way. Getting an adequate number of kits in the club shop in time seems to have been a constant issue for us ever since I started following the club in the 1990s. I don’t want to have a go at anyone as I’m sure it’s harder than we think, but I don’t really know why we insist on using companies like Puma that aren’t really set up to cater for clubs like us. They’re either for huge clubs who buy kits in massive wholesale orders and flog them all over the world, or Sunday league clubs that just need a kit for the team. We’re between the two - we can’t buy thousands as they won’t sell, but we need some to sell in the shop and if they sell out, we need to order more as and when. A smaller local company seems a better solution for bespoke orders, and might even consider subsidising the deal for the advertising and publicity they would get.

There was a 5 year deal signed with Puma 3 years ago. This was done by a previous General Manager (pre-Mark Maguire) under a different board. Would the current board sign it? I dont think so.
Plenty of suppliers out there with flexibility for moving forward. Just have to wait this one out unfortunately.

It sounds like someone seriously non financial was involved in arranging that and Puma would be rubbing their hands together. I think there was less professionalism about the club at that time dare I say? Either way two years time we will be much better off in terms of merchandise and hopefully on the field.

I'm the opposite in that I really liked the home kit we've just had, thought it looked proper smart myself. I haven't seen our new home kit in the flesh yet but don't like it from looking at pics and vids. Tolerable from the front but the solid blue back and shorts looks a bit rubbish IMO. The away kit looks like a patchwork quilt.
