Just read the thread on old DC. I really don't get why the very few people left on that site have anything against this one. 3MM, NFBF, SueC, Toto and a few others for example seem to have their heads buried in the sand.
"This site has had more people viewing it than the new one" Yes that may be, but no-one can contribute as they either can't register or have been banned until 1970 comes around again or (in my case) the year 273,000.
One or two muppets with nothing better to do on a Saturday night than to put a few wind ups on a rival fans message board. Most of you are in your 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, can't you just ignore them for crying out loud?
"You killed your club" Is a crap insult anyway. Just ignore any trolls and report them. Simple as.

Yet we have to sign up to view red passion, not that I have though. Red Passion makes it impossible for me to sign up as it doesn't accept hotmail email addresses. There is another, apparently more sane Wrexham forum. spiritof78.co.uk/ . But again you have to sign up to access it with a £2 joining fee. Been live for a couple of years or so it must be doing something right I guess.

I think in the long run you will have to have registered people. It's a nice idea to let guests comment but in the end your usual posters will get fed up of stupid posts just trying to get a rise. Red passion made the same decision a few years back for the same reason .
I like to talk to supporters of other teams and like to get there options on games and such like . But I refuse to engage in anything other than sensible discussions . It must be because I'm just a old fart .

NFBF,3mm, the two exiles and Sue and about 3 other posters make me laugh. talking to themselves while all the time ship is sinking. nice to see the f**ckwitts from Canada and Devon make an appearance but no sign of an explanation or to say sorry yet. bless em but the average age of what's left of the board must be close to 70 now. they have what they wanted, nice closed shop for the old farts to chat.

I've never quite understood what would posses anyone to sign up to the forums of their arch rivals to post - how much spare time do these people have?
I actually understand the trolling more than the Wrexham fans who come on here and post incessant rubbish about their crowdfunding or about how well Keates is doing, as if anyone really cares.
I also find the fact that their is an "Official Wrexham FC thread" on a Chester FC fans board to be thoroughly embarrassing.

So you don't want to discuss your great club with anyone but chester fans .whats the point of having a site to discuss than??.
Yes close the site to just chester fans but then your just patting each other's back .
It's great to have a chat as adults about your team ,that's what the games about . We all love our teams and long may we banter about it . Dont make it personal ,it's a bloody game for gods sake . But supporting your team is great .you do it and I do it .and long may we do it together . I love my team and long may you love yours .

Is there really any need to be so rude about other supporters of our football club? Doesn't really warrant calling them "old farts", but I guess they must be somehow wronging you.

It's been fine on here so far. Long may it continue. The smileys etc must be improved though. Deva Chat's drinking and laughing smileys were very good. Steal them. The Chester fans will surely liquidate the other Deva Chat?

Agree with Al. It really isn't difficult to ignore and report - retaliating just makes it worse as it prolongs the problem. This forum has three moderators who seem to act quickly upon offensive posts being reported. I logged on here on Saturday afternoon and then again on Sunday morning so had missed all the furore which clearly shows the moderation of this forum is fine.

Why such vitriol? If they prefer that board and want to keep using it, what skin is it off your nose?

Wow, we all support the same team and some are name calling people from the other place, little wonder some posters got banned. There's been some justified criticism of one or two mods on there, but it should also be remembered that there are a lot of people who only have their own stunted maturity levels to blame for their bans.

Why are you so obsessed with the old board? If it's as bad as you say and you have no respect for fellow fans just because they don't do what you do - then just ignore it!

I can totally understand both sides of the argument here. I got fed up on Saturday night of having to constantly log on and wade through the nonsense that people were posting after they'd had a few beers. Perhaps people just got bored as we didn't have a game, but it was just petty bickering and the usual club killers rubbish. The easiest thing is just to ignore it and report it - The Goats rattle on about club killing and they know they get a reaction. We get a lot of decent guests on here and I like that we get opposition fans who contribute on the match day threads on their outlook of the game etc, however the amount of Goat and Tranmere WUMS are steadily increasing which may end up forcing us down the route of registration. I'm going to stick to my initial outlook on this.......the guest access is piloted until the end of the season and then I'll set a vote up (for registered users only!) to decide which way you want to go. Personally I'd like to see Guests stay as I'm happy enough to ignore the wums and delete (we have 2 other mods who are monitoring things too) reported posts where appropriate, but this board is for everyone and I'll respect the way the vote goes. This way it also gives those who do view and contribute as guests time to get a feel for the board and decide if its worth them registering. There is a few Wrexham WUMs on RedPassion I tend to ignore them.

Just an update on the moderation on here. The site has been running for around six weeks now and we have seen a number of new posters as well as some old faces which is fantastic. Amongst those we have had our WUMS too, but all in all we have only received 11 reported posts, 10 of which were deleted by Si and one by Mr Blue, they were deleted rapidly and effectively, I haven't even had a chance yet ! That's how quick they were. We have had no registered posters banned, but most of the offensive posts were made by guest users, some of which have been banned and I think it's right to review that policy at the end of the season.
In the meantime let's use this board effectively to promote the club and to discuss the many points supporting a club can raise, let's continue to do it constructively and fairly but without fear of reprisal if people don't agree with you. The WUMS will get bored eventually, but this site will continue to welcome new members and be moderated when required, rather than to continue to be moderated and welcome new members when required. Thanks for your continued support COYB

How do you ban a guest poster ? Surely he/she can just post again as a guest?

As one of the guest posters from across the border may I give my perspective? I enjoy reading all of the forums for all of the teams in the national league (where I can). It's not necessarily the case that it's only redpassion and this forum. Your new forum has been, in the main, an interesting read and one of the better ones. I think the guest post situation is brilliant and would advocate it for all the forums.
