Just wondering how much the legends bar makes? Would it be better binning it off and providing extra room/service for everyone? Upstairs could be used for families? Food? Blue lupus interacting with the kids that sort of thing. Not a big fan myself but it is the way of the modern football club. It was a right effort to get a drink today and upstairs was quiet so would that space be better used making bar service easier?

It is really good up there and overall I would say on a matchday makes more money than the blues bar if you include the cost to dine, sponsorship and bar take. Just needed more serving yesterday in blues bar. The 3 behind there were flat out.

Makes loads of money when it's busy.
Great to see the Match, Programme and Ball Sponsorships all sell yesterday.

It is a very good experience to be fair, but I get the point others have made on the other thread that D&A are a fine dining catering company so their efforts are more likely to be focused on the LL.

It's somewhere to entertain visiting directors and it's also a place for players to eat and chill out after the match.

Compromise is bad business, where neither party gets what they want. LL and BB are two separate venues so should be dealt with separately.

As much of a money maker as it is, I think successive boards since 2010 have forgotten that there is life outside the LL on a matchday. Yesterday was all the evidence you need.

I've no issue with legends. Every club has one and its there for a reason. But the blues bar is a joke. 25 years and we've actually managed to go backwards. We made a step forward when we had the second bar but that's gone and its back to the scrum. I agree with the club regards them franchising that side of the business out but Doherty and co are badly short changing supporters at the moment. Yesterday they were a shambles.

It's so much more than that When people have a go at it they forget that we have to show visiting directors that we are a welcoming club. I know there is so much more. There have been some brilliant fund-raisers there like when Peter Barnes, Joe Corrigan and another ex-Man City player thoroughly entertained us. I know we used to feed the players (home and away) after the match, but not sure if we still do that at this level. I've eaten there and you cannot fault the food and the service.

I believe that opposition directors are to be taken to the boardroom only this season thus creating more free spaces in the LL on matchdays which can be taken by paying guests.

Was that the procession of penguins I saw coming out for the start of the second half?

The bb was a absolute disgrace yesterday queues back to door what happened to the second bar we had in there last season ? They must of known there was going to be a decent crowd so why didn't they plan for it and in my opinion d&a shouldn't be running the bar when they can't even get the kiosks right my mate bought a Chester pie that look like it was a leftover from last season and the two I had were completely different sizes . Mr Murphy's money needs spending on the bb pretty quick or we are going to lose money when the bigger teams come to the deva

A simple solution could be containers modified to bars to then be placed begind the Harry Mac and away end, would certainly ease congestion in the blues bar. Depending on cost ... Attachments:

some good ideas but are there any restrictions on the licence as to where alcohol can be sold in and around the ground?
