It would be illuminating if the league expanded on their reasoning if we end up at Macc but I'm not holding my breath as I guess it will show them up for what they are, inflexible, unsympathetic and ultimately unfit for purpose
Methinks if it had been one of the bigger NL outfits eg York, Salford or god forbid Wrexham, the outcome may have been somewhat different.

We had no other option because it’s flood damage. Meanwhile, the league are happy to postpone three Nuneaton games because they have two first team players away. We were without 7 first team players yesterday maybe we should ask for a few games off too! Chester and BPA happy to make the simple switch yet the league piss us about like this. Absolute joke. So much more fuss and more importantly we lose a Saturday game and a home game income altogether. We’ll have far less there to get behind the lads due to the distance and the league will know all of this which stinks. It was only a few months ago they were checking we’d make it to the end of the season now they’re taking a home game from us.

The Club should request a formal statementcas to why the game cannot be switched to Bradford if both clubs agree ?
Both clubs should jointly threaten legal action if not forthcoming recextra costs/loss of income as done nothing wrong but penalised ?

It's been suggested on the Chronicle Facebook football page that perhaps the league are reluctant to see us have an imbalance of home games . . . could be that. Personally think the league have been pretty patient - after all, the incident occurred on 12th August.

Would there be coaches going from the ground if it was at Macc?

What the hell difference does it make we have to play 21 at home and 21 away does it really matter when these games are played

Might not be a bad thing to have a 'home game' even if it is at Macc or somewhere. We need a crowd back behind us again, and at least we'll have more fans there than they do.

Are Vauxhall motors at home Saturday ? Potential venue Yes they are - in fact almost every feasible venue seems to be in use on Saturday with a home game - Vauxhall, Tranmere, Crewe, Nantwich, Witton, Altrincham, Warrington. Macc seems about the only option. Suppose we could look into Welsh grounds but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of red tape issue with playing English League fixtures and Welsh League grounds - there usually is for that sort of thing!

Crewe ain't playing games been postponed due to international call ups Not that much easier to get to than Macc really. At the end of the day, fair play to Macc for trying to help us out but they’ll be quite rightly taking their cut and making sure all costs are cover, I’m sure of that. If it does have to be at Macc, I hope as many as possible make it over there to help the club out or at least maybe consider donating the admission fee to the club if they cannot make it?

I thought a decision had been made to just reverse the fixtures.

Crap alternative venue. Surely there must be somewhere nearer than Macclesfield. I would hope that non profit coaches will be supplied from the ground. The crowd will be shit.

A 25 minute direct train journey from Chester to Crewe and the ground is next to station. Macc on the other hand is a 1 hour cross country slog.

I'm not being funny but surely the logistics of staging a "Home" game at an alternative ground is far more challenging than waiting until Thursday for the safety certificate - at times I totally despair a disaster of a season for sure

Is it just me, or does the flood light look like some kind of alien spaceship watching over proceedings?
