Still doing his members a complete disservice by refusing to post the information on this board. old deva chat is near enough inactive these days. Only Rio cutting and pasting his posts from here on there is keeping it alive. The senior blues portray themselves as an important part of the club, so surely promoting it on here is a no brainer. Could be missing out on a fair bit of money due to the chairmans stubbornness.

Spot on Paulie and I have responded to NFBF accordingly on the other forum. i don't quite know why Rio copies and pastes on the other board as he gets hardly any responses and just serves to keep the board alive without serving any purpose.

It only takes two seconds to just copy and paste stuff from here to the other forum anyway which doesn’t bother me. The likes of JamesDee, 3mm and The Annexe still post on that forum for some reason. I don’t know why they don’t come on here, but I just find it useful updating them with snippets of info from time to time.

I have followed the link to DC1 and NFBF would like his posts shown on this forum but is obviously not as good at technology as you. He is looking for help and In the same way as you keep DC1 updated could you do the reverse and copy relevant DC1 posts to this forum. Thanks for all you do to keep us all updated and your posts are always appreciated. Will the match be on this Saturday? ??

I would have no problems with inserting the relevant info from Deva Chat 1 to this site, IE: Senior Blues news. In regards to the match, I think that an announcement will be made before Thursday as I believe that we are just waiting for the safety certificate to arrive. Fingers crossed we will be playing at the Deva.

Maybe he has changed his mind since then...

I offered to copy and paste senior blues information onto this site to NFBF a good while ago. He then said he didn't want senior blues news posted on here as it opens HIM up to criticism! He must have had a change of heart, NFBF has asked me to pop on and copy his post about Friday's meeting on here, so here it is... (he has trouble logging on btw) ___________________________________________________
We are expecting this meeting to go ahead in the Blues Bar as usual. If there are any changes in the meantime, it will be put on here.
Our guests for our meeting, are, firstly, SHANE PINNINGTON from DEE 1O6 Shane needs no introduction on here, and we are all looking forward to hearing from him about his career and his work on the Radio Station.
Secondly, we welcome a Senior Blues member and director DAVID WILLIAMS, David is a great supporter of the Senior Blues, and we are interested to hear from him about his work, and his role on the board of directors.
Lastly, and by no means least! We welcome back Chairman, DAVID HARRINGTON-WRIGHT who has promised to bring us up to date about the current position regarding the stadium, and we are all hoping that he shall be telling us that we shall be back at the ground on Saturday afternoon!
Geoff will be reporting on the last trip to Southport Flower Show and updating members on forthcoming trips. One especially, could be trip to remember, and we hope members will support the idea.
Tea and Coffee and biscuits will be served as usual, a new batch of Senior Blues Pens have arrived and will on sale, these, I know, are very popular with our members. See you all on Friday Morning!

I think his login problem may come down to a rogue username when this board was first set up - someone posed as him and someone posed as Canadia Exile (unsure if it was the same rogue poster) which means those login names are already taken. That may be where he is coming unstuck.

I see the usual suspects (in the shape of one person) are after me again! The reason I havn’t posted on here about the Senior Blues is mainly because of time and my lack of tech knowledge, also there is a part of me that doesn’t like the flack I get when I come on here as well. We have managed quite well on DC 1, we get a lot of views on the meetings post, just have a look. The August meeting had a full attendance with it only being posted on DC 1. Our membership is around 100 again, we had eight new members join last month, so they must be hearing from somewhere! I have no problem with this site at all, i have stopped posting on a personal basis, as I don’t need the abuse I got on here. In fact I have asked Rio to copy in our posts for me, and, thankfully he has agreed to do it for me. The Senior Blues is NOT about me, we have a very hard working committee, and wonderful membership, I was elected chairman eight years ago, and my position comes up for renewal every year, any member can put himself for the position! , so far we have not had anyone willing to take it on. I am very proud of what the Senior Blues has achieved, our success is down to our committee and the generosity of our members. Anybody who wants to join just needs to turn up with a fiver for a seasons membership.

From NFBF on Deva Chat 1:
Almost overwhelmed with members this morning, we ran out of chairs! Great to see a full room again. Our meeting opened with the Chairman, DAVID HARRINGTON-WRIGHT telling us about the immense amount of work that has gone into the ground to enable the game against Bradford tomorrow to go ahead. The damaged electrics have all been replaced, and we now have a very hi-tec HD public address system plus the latest technology with the public order cameras, that now, the chairman says, enables the Police to read a programme read by a supporter in the away end stand. (If they so desired of course! ) Our next guest was DAVID WILLIAMS the club director, who is responsible for the “Inclusive Blues” part of the football club. David gave a very very interesting talk, (Read out by Peter Mitchell) with help of a video presentation operated by David. He started out telling us about his life right from his birth, the difficulties his parents had in dealing with is disability. It became very clear that from an early age David was determined to be independent, and he got himself a job at Manweb after leaving college, but his heart was in journalism, which he was able to do by reporting on motor racing at Oulton Park on a part time basis, he now writes for numerous motor racing magazines and blogs as well as his work at Chester FC. David told a very amusing story about one of the games he attended in his first years of supporting Chester FC. He became ill during the match, and as it turned out, the Police ended up escorting David out of the ground and taking him home in a Police car much to his Mother’s consternation! David presented a video about how he manages his specially adapted car, getting in and driving, he passed his test six months after getting his car! He then showed us how he transfers himself from his wheelchair to his easy chair at home, which was a work of art on its own! He then showed us a video of how he has made a machine that now feeds him, that really was an incredible bit of kit. Everyone in the room was incredibly in awe of David and how he has overcome his disability and enables to live a fulfilling life and remain so independent. David is a fantastic asset to the club, and the chairman said he is a very active contributor to Board meetings, certainly an inspiration to us all. Our last guest was SHANE PINNINGTON who gave a fascinating insight into local radio. He has a number of roles at the DEE 106.3, one of them is the responsibility for the music output at the station. He was questioned about the music policy at the radio station and said it was similar to Radio 2’s output at the BBC. He went into his role about reporting on Chester FC, and the many miles he has travelled doing so, but he is a Chester supporter at heart, and said it was all worth it. He explained the difficulty of reporting on difficult results, like the match at Blyth Spartans, but has to remain objective. He said the club and the managers at the club were very cooperative, and he a had a great working relationship with them which made his job a lot easier. He occasionally has to attend matches at Premier League games which he enjoys, but he still prefers to come down to his hometown club. For the first time in our SB’s history a fresh meat pie was include in the raffle prizes! Kindly donated by PETER (The pieman) An excellent meeting again, and a big thank to everyone who attended, our next meeting is on Friday October 5th.
