I see his twitter account has had a spring clean. All screen-shotted, don’t worry.

The way you keep going on, you sound as though you want him to. You a mate of this Evans or something? Like most Chester supporters, never had contact with the man and wouldn't know him if I fell over him. I just pointed out that when people make defammotory accusations in print, e.g. Calling someone a bent copper, they must be able to back the accusation up or be prepared to be sued for libel. Not too difficult to understand, I'd have thought. Not difficult at all which is why it seemed odd that you’d keep repeating it.

I’m convinced the fat whopper used to think people had paid to see him and not the team.

Got to be honest, like you say I find it hard to believe anyone who has followed Chester for any length of time especially the Sealand road days or anyone who has lived in chester for any time doesn't know him

It’s not like you could have missed him. He was the big unit prancing around the ground like he owned the place.

Facebook is very good at informing older fans. I dont do Chester stuff on there but assume there is a group where somebody has? It is the older members who will not be aware of this, and will attend the meeting and vote it through. With that in mind, I wonder if it would be worth distributing anything at the ground on matchdays or even on the night? One would have to be very careful regarding slander and/or libel.

If copies of his Twitter posts were distributed that wouldn't be libellous. He posted them and, presumably, are representative of his views and behaviour. That should make a few think about opposing his election.

What happens if the account turns out to be fake, or he claims that someone had access to his computer or social media accounts?

This does hightlight the need to be a cfu member to all those people who say "whats the point" only cfu members can vote. This is your chance to make your voice heard. The other thing is that it's not just good enough to vote against someone you must also vote for someone. If i understand it correctly, it's all about percentages. A very small percent of total members vote in the AGM it is very disappointing, if this encourages more people to vote that is a good thing, but i doubt very much this will happen. It is my experience that DC bluster a lot, then do nothing about it, for example standing for election. After saying all that this post is making me think, originally i would have voted for him, just because he at least wanted to help, no one else did. The shots of his tweets on here are certainly causing me to think twice, they remind me of Trump, and i certainly wouldn't vote for him.

Disappointing to see a few fans squabbling over what are really petty issues, let’s focus our energies into ensuring this candidate never sets foot in our boardroom.

Disappointing to see a few fans squabbling over what are really petty issues, let’s focus our energies into ensuring this candidate never sets foot in our boardroom. Spot on. It is obvious that our former wonderful boy in blue is aware of the disdain that Chester fans have for him so if he had anything about he’d withdraw from the running. After reading those Twitter posts etc this is not someone who should be anywhere near this proud club.

Proxy vote posted off. ‘For’ on everything apart from an ‘Against’ for Evans.
If this concerns you and you cannot attend the AGM then I’d urge you to do the same.
