Hi guys, this was a idea I suggested and the club took onboard, I'm now working with the club where I will hopefully be producing these match posters for every home game going forward, let's share it, print it off and get it out there to generate some interest!

Good stuff but why did Martin Huxley stop doing them? Remember the Bradley Barnes Top Gun one?

Good stuff but why did Martin Huxley stop doing them? Remember the Bradley Barnes Top Gun one? No idea mate, pretty sure he still does quite a bit of work for the club though. I'll be doing match posters for the club in addition to the other stuff I do for them too though, going forward.

Great to see people putting effort back into their own club. Well done all!
That said, I'd don't think Ryan Astles will particularly pleased with the choice of photo.

I deliver the standard on a Thursday so I'm going to ask the club to provide me with some to put in my papers. Might encourage a few more and it's a great idea.

Whilst that is very commendable, I'm pretty sure the club have to pay to have such posters inserted into the newspaper circulation (even loose fliers/posters, not just page adverts). Wonder what the legalities of this are as other companies could claim we are getting free advertising whilst they are having to pay for similar.

Maybe suggest a different idea instead of the constant negativity? Oh I know, Rio could deliver the Chester FC leaflet through the letter box, just after he's delivered the newspaper - job and volunteering combined - problem solved.

Exactly bang The Standard through the letter box and send a poster through it too. The amount of shite you get in The Standard, one more bit of paper won't hurt. Nice one Riot.

Rio that is a superb idea, maybe the match poster I make can be printed in a5 or smaller? The club could print them in bulk and you could collect them, and if you can't put it in the standard literally just post it straight after the newspaper. Sorted. Would work really well imo as it's a pretty good form of marketing as you're directly targeting people. Top work Rio mate, really hope this idea is used.

The best idea will be to post it through after the paper as some people bin the paper straight away, whereas if the poster isn't in the paper they would pay more attention 👍.

The biggest failing of the old Devachat is that it didn't allow new members to sign up. It's a breath of fresh air to see some of the young lads we have on this forum who are willing to go above and beyond. Well done!

I've scrolled through that forum with tape over my mouth is how it felt!! This new devachat has helped me so so much, with the crowdfunder I'm running for displays, to sharing match posters I have done for the club etc..
