What a weird competition this is. Currently watching The New Saints leading the Glasgow team Queens Park 1-0, and also noticed Connah’s Quay won at Falkirk today with Michael Wilde scoring. Boreham Wood and Sutton are in as well, along with teams from Northern Ireland and the Republic, the Highland and Lowland Leagues and SPL youth teams.
How did they decide the teams, was it just whoever fancied it? I wouldn’t mind seeing Chester in a competition like this.

It’s Scotland’s version of the johnsons paint trophy (or whatever it’s called these days). Top 2 from welsh league last season , top Irish teams and now top 2 from national league last season that didn’t get promoted.

Shows how poor Scottish football is when a team from WPL (Conference regional standard I guess) can beat a Scottish Championship team.

Bit of a mixed bag all in all though. Queens Park ended up winning at TNS, who piss the Welsh league every season. And Boreham Wood were beaten by a Scottish Championship club which probably doesn’t say much for the Conference, although Sutton won their game.
Seems a bit like this is testing the water for some kind of Anglo-Celtic cup. I’d love to see Chester play in Scotland or Ireland myself.

Wasn't it reported recently that the local council is suing TNS for a load of money that may well bankrupt them?
